Sam July 17, 2015 for Model Number JE1590SH01 Are LG 2m246 050gf magnetron all the same? I've notice the ap443946 @$59, ap2026205 @ $114. Can you explain the difference? Thankx
1 Answer Sam, Not all the magnetrons are the same, the biggest difference is in the wattage of the microwave. You will want to use the recommended magnetron for the unit. Read More...
Thomas December 26, 2014 for Model Number LRM2060ST Oven will not heat. All the electronics work just like they have for the past 7 years. Just suddenly stopped heating. Is it something I can repair or am I out looking for a new microwave tomorrow? What part is likely the problem?
1 Answer Thomas, The most likely cause for this unit to not heat would be caused by a faulty magnetron which is part number 6324W1A001L. Read More...
Fred Kolstad December 18, 2014 for Model Number Kenmore #721.62629.200/210KM00673 We had a recent repair using a LG Magnetron and the following Part # was used: 2M214 T5GK 1202-000790 Unit ran for only a total of 30 days at our 2nd home and then we were gone 6 months and it only ran another week Service agency won't honor parts warranty due to the 6 months time when it was not used?? Can you tell me manufacturing date of the LG magnetron,
1 Answer Fred, Unfortunately we would not be able to assist with giving you a manufacturers date on the magnetron of your unit. Read More...
Pat July 22, 2014 for Model Number 721.67903601 I have a Kenmore microwave model 721.67903601 not much over a year old recently it started just getting food warm but not hot. In order to get it hot you have to cook a lot longer than normal. I opened the unit up and got out the tech sheet that's inside and I tested all the major components they all tested good, they all gave the proper ohms readings that the tech sheet said they would be.. So I'm assuming that even though it has the proper ohms it still must be the magnetron?. would that be correct ??
Bill March 22, 2014 for Model Number dometic microwave cdmw12b Will this magnetron 2m246-050gf fin my microwave? Mine has 2m246 05gf on to below it has co8f-097490.

Hank January 09, 2014 for Model Number 6324W1A001H Loud buzzing and no heat with micro start and operation. Likely magnetron, but how do I test the diode and/or the high voltage transformer for proper operation. (listed as other components to the heat production) Also, are these likely to fail at about the same time as the magneton, if so replacement cost and effort maybe better spent with replacement microwave? Thanks, Hank.
1 Answer Hello Hank. You most likely have a "high voltage" side malfunction. Transformer, diode, magnetron, Capacitor. You will need to be extremely careful if you decide to test the components with a multi meter, Very high residual voltage is present, so make sure you remove power to the microwave and short across the terminals on the capacitor. The magnetron should have a reading of less than 1 ohm resistance across the two terminals, and an "open" circuit between each terminal and chassis ground. The diode/rectifier should have a resistance reading in one direction only, no resistance, or resistance in both directions indicate a faulty diode. The primary winding on the trans former should read approximately 450 Ohms resistance, the secondary winding should read 80 ohms resistance, and the filament transformer should read 100 ohms resistance. If all the readings are proper and in range, replace the magnetron. Read More...
Howard November 13, 2013 for Model Number 721.80019400 My microwave is arking sparks off of one leg of the connection of the magnetron. This leg also has the capacitor attached. I'm not sure how to troubleshoot a magnetron. Any suggestions?
1 Answer Hello Howard. You will need to replace the magneton and the diode and look for bad connections from the sparking. Read More...
Ron October 18, 2013 for Model Number LMV2053SW A few days ago, the fan on our LG microwave suddenly started up continued to run and would not turn off even by pushing the switch. We had to unplug it before it would stop running. A few days later the unit would not heat. We unplugged it again and it worked OK again. Last night I heated up something in the unit and it seemed to work fine. Today however, the unit will not heat up, even water. Tried unplugging again but no success.
1 Answer Hello Ron, This is most likely a door switch. It is not recommended to replace only one since there are three and all of them will fail soon after the first one fails. You will either need one 3B73361E and two 3B73362F or you can replace the entire assembly as a unit by ordering part number 3501W1A019D. Read More...
