Stacey June 25, 2018 Our way plate came off several times, so we replaced the screw. It's stayed on but now the washer isn't agitating very well, and the clothes are not coming clean. It still spins without issue, just not agitating.

Matthew April 23, 2018 for Model Number MVWX500XW0 I attempted to take the pulsator off to remove some change. Needless to say, it would not come off. Now I'm trying to put the retaining bolt for the pulsator back on but the bolt will not screw down all the way. I'm at a loss here.
1 Answer Hello Matthew. Lets get the pulsator off because it sounds like change is stuck under it. Then it should screw back down. Thank you. Read More...
Chris April 01, 2018 for Model Number MGP61942301 My LG washplate came loose. I removed the cap, took out the bolt with a 10mm socket and noticed that the bolt end was uneven. It appears that the bolt may have snapped from the bottom. The wash plate gears have worn away. What do I do?
1 Answer Chris, If the bolt is snapped off from the bottom then you will want to try to get the rest of the bolt out using an extraction tool. If unable to get it out you would need to replace the gearcase on the unit. Read More...

1 Answer Hello Karina. Based on the information you provided, it sounds like the housing AEN73131403 is bad and will need to be replaced. This is the part the pulsator bolt screws into. Thanks. Read More...
Jeff April 28, 2017 for Model Number Kenmore top load washer 79631512211 My wash plate has come loose from the shaft. I don't know how to reattach it. I removed the bolt from the wash plate, as it was not secure to anything in the bottom of the washer. If I sit the wash plate onto the agitator shaft, the gears still catch and are not stripped. How do I reattach the wash plate to the agitator shaft?
1 Answer Jeff, The bolt would need to be put into the wash plate to keep it in place. If the bolt is backing out then you will want to put some loctite on the threads to hold it in place. Read More...
Tony M March 09, 2017 for Model Number WT5101HW There is a groaning noise when the pulsator (wash plate) starts to spin on my LG WT5101hw washer. It does not make noise when first load sensing (shaking back and forth). Then when it starts to spin, here comes the noise. Also, I can spin the pulsator (wash plate) by hand and it will seem to "bind up" occasionally, then will do the same groaning noise if I continue to spin it. The wash Plate is new, groves are fine and it is tight. Bought replacement from you when old one worked loose and stripped. Before I replaced the wash plate, machine was making same noise, but it went away with new wash plate for a few weeks. Now back. Thanks
1 Answer Tony, With the noise only occurring in the spin cycle then this would most likely be a bearing that is going bad and would need to get part number AEN73131403 to correct this issue. Read More...
Shane February 12, 2017 for Model Number 79629272000 Our washer just started making a clicking/grinding noise during wash cycle when clothes would be being agitated (without agitator). Spin cycle works fine.
1 Answer Hello Shane. Based on the information you provided, it sounds like the housing assembly AEN73131403 may be bad and need to be replaced on the unit. Read More...
Faye February 05, 2017 for Model Number wt5070cw Each time washer runs, lots of crud is floating in water. Cleaned drain hose that was full/clogged with scum. Cleaned all dispensers and pulsator cap. checked pump hose, too. I also ran clean cycle numerous times with vinegar and other cleaners. I believe its coming from under the pulsator plate (AGZ72909702) which I want to replace. Followed your video for removing plate, took off cap and removed screw, but wash plate will not come off. Even ran clean cycle several times without cap and screw. Plate will not budge from shaft. Based on repair videos and LG service, plate should lift right off after screw is removed. Have also tried prying off with no luck.
1 Answer Hello Faye, These can sometimes seize to the shaft and have to be forced off. Try using a belt, slipping it under the pulsator and hooked back to itself to form a loop. This will enable you to move it around and apply upward pressure in different positions until it comes out. Read More...
Matthew April 03, 2016 for Model Number WT5070CW My washer does not have a wash cycle - both the drum and wash plate just move back and forth a few millimeters in either direction. 1. Should the wash plate be able to spin freely on the drive shaft? I find that mine has no ridges to engage with the shaft. 2. The wash cycle starts with a grinding noise, is that normal? I just replaced the shift actuator and coupling. Spin cycle is completely fine.
1 Answer Matthew, The wash plate should not spin freely on the drive shaft and if it is then this would most likely be the cause of the unit agitating and could be causing the grinding noise as well. If there are no ridges at the point where the bolt goes through the wash plate then it would need to be replaced. Read More...
