1 Answer CC, While it can be difficult to get the rotor lined back up on the stator. You will want to have someone open the door and push in on the wash tub to make sure that it is not shifting when you put the rotor back onto the shaft. This is the most common reason that the rotor will not sit flush on the stator. Read More...
Gordon August 29, 2014 for Model Number WM2016CW I have ordered the replacement spider, both bearings and seal as well as the central tub gasket. I had quite a bit of trouble freeing the spider from the Stainless tub but finally got it out. Two questions come to mind: !) is there any way to get rid of the scale that was holding the Spider to the drum before you wrestle it out and am I correct in assuming that the spider that I will get includes the input shaft to the motor. The drawings aren't clear and the part number you all are sending shows a revision for my washer. Thanks
1 Answer Hello Gordon, The only way to get the scale off would be to steam clean it but this could harm other parts of the tub so it is not recommended. The scale will just re-form anyway so just stay in the habit of running at least one hot wash with bleach or white vinegar to sanitize the machine per week. The new spinner support assembly will include the motor shaft. Read More...
