Mike October 24, 2018 for Model Number WM2050CW I have gotten the te error. I tried the quick fix and no help. I tried to replace the thermistor (as you showed in the perfect video). I am still getting the error message. Any thoughts? I do not have the heating element next to the thermistor as shown in the video. Please help. Thank you!
1 Answer Mike, For this issue you will want to check the wiring between the thermistor and the control board to make sure that they are good. If this checks ok then the issue will be a faulty main control board. Read More...
Katie August 18, 2018 for Model Number WM2050CW Got a tE code on my washer - repair man said thermistor broken. Ordered the new thermistor, but when I took the front off the machine, the issue is a sheared blue wire into the wire harness. You have previously advised part number 6877ER3003H for this repair, but this isn't correct - that part is a black/brown wire with connectors that connects to a different part of the machine. The blue/white wire harness is a small plastic clip that hooks into the thermistor, and the wires run with all the other wires back to the processor. Is there a way of reconnecting the wires and replacing only the clip/wire harness that attaches to the thermistor? Or is this a more major electrical repair?
1 Answer Katie, If you have enough wire you can strip the ends and use a butt connector and crimp the ends.Always use a weak tug test to check your crimp and wrap with electrical tape. Read More...
