Dan November 16, 2015 for Model Number 795799769000 Hi, My Kenmore fridge is running warm. The freezer is around 10 degrees and the fridge is around 50. After reading through some of the posts on your site I was thinking of replacing the Overload Protector and the Thermistor. One other thing to note is that there is a setting in the fridge that allows you to select the temperature (cold to colder). Pressing the button does not change the setting. This is making me think that it may be something else. Any help would be appreciated.
1 Answer Dan, You will want to check coils in the freezer to see if they are impacted with ice. If so then the issue would most likely be a defrost sensor or control board that has failed. Read More...
Nick June 15, 2015 for Model Number LG LFX23965ST Hello. I hope you have a good day. I need to replace the thermistor, the overload and possibly the capacitor on my fridge. It is clicking intermittently and the freezer section is never cold enough lately. What would be the correct part numbers for this fridge, please? Thank you.
1 Answer Hello Nick. If it only clicks intermittently, then it is not any of those parts. The compressor is bad and will need to be replaced on the unit. The pressure is preventing it from starting. The compressor is starting to fail. Read More...
Keven January 15, 2015 for Model Number LFX25961AL THANK YOU FOR THE PART NUMBER, but I did not see this on the frig.... is it hidden or do I need to wire this capasitor in and if I do how is it wired?
Keven January 15, 2015 for Model Number LFX25961AL Compressor not kicking in relay and overload were replaced with new but still the same relay clicks. Compressor feels warm but will not com on. No ground fault. Windings are good. Was told start capacitor but cant find it on there.
1 Answer Hello Keven. 0CZZJB2014G is the capacitor for the unit. If it does it after the capacitor, you will need to replace the compressor. Read More...
Upton November 16, 2014 for Model Number 79577572600 Setting the refrigerator temperature at 42° you get a refrigerator temperature of 32° no matter what temperature you set it to. The 42° does not change which is suppose to indicate temperature inside after setting.
1 Answer Hello TC! Unfortunately, the model number given seems to be incorrect and is not pulling up in our systems to verify the correct replacement parts. Please double check and repost for further assistance. Thanks. Read More...
Jeff August 21, 2014 for Model Number LRBN20512WW LG fridge/freezer not cooling or freezing down. Had huge amounts of dust/dirt on compressor coils. Cleaned all out, but still not cold. Fan working, but compressor not coming on. Compressor hot to touch. Tested compressor with multimeter and apparently is good resistance numbers, so I'm thinking to replace start relay mounted to compressor. Number on part is P6R8MD OR0610. Slightly different from your part number listed. Based on information listed above, would you recommend any additional parts and/or different diagnosis for problem? Thank you, Jeff
1 Answer Jeff, The relay 6749C-0014E would be what you would want to replace but you would also want to replace the overload at the same time. The overload is part number 6750C-0005P. Read More...
Danny April 03, 2014 for Model Number LRBN20512WW Hi, I need the LG P.T.C part # 6748JJ8002A replacement part, but on your website shown is not available ( which the 2nd photo # AP4441207 and It has 3 long terminals and 1short terminal) My question is that if I buy the P.T.C ASSY which the first photo AP#4439465 part. Will this part work on my compressor. my concern is because the p.t.c Assy only has two terminals. thank you
1 Answer Hello Khang. It should read closed for continuity across the terminals. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html Read More...
