Sandor February 09, 2024 for Model Number DLE7200WE/00 I have an LG DLE7200WE/00 electric dryer that seems to be functioning fine. But in the LG app it's throwing a te5 code. Cycling thermostat? Any advice is appreciated
1 Answer Sandor, the thermistor 6323EL2001B would need to be tested and it should measure 10 Ohms at room temperature. If it is not around 10 Ohms, it would need to be replaced. However, if it does measure near 10 Ohms, the main control EBR80198611 would be the most likely cause of failure. Read More...
Jim R. January 02, 2024 for Model Number 796.91182310 Kenmore Dryer Model # 796.91182310 When I turn the Power button on, all the available dryer mode options light up awaiting my selection. I turn the selector knob to NORMAL dry mode, press the START/PAUSE button and then ...nothing. 41 minutes is shown on the dry-time indicator, the DRY cycle indicator is blinking and the COOLING indicator is solid. But nothing else happens. The door switch seems operable by virtue that the drum interior light goes on/off with the door open/close. What else do you think might be going on here? Jim
1 Answer Jim, the main control EBR76542912 would need to be tested for 120VAC going out to the motor, as well as checking the drum belt 4400EL2001F. If there is 120VAC going out from the main control to the motor, it is likely that the drive belt has broken and is preventing the motor from operating. Read More...

Jt February 13, 2022 for Model Number DLEX4270V I wrote recently on this problem. My L G front load dryer DLEX4270v has power to ALL front controls, but will not start. The thermal fuse, belt switch, belt and pulley, door switch all checked good. The Start Switch blinks when pressed to start, ALSO I hear a few clicks when it is pressed. I was told to check the main PCB assembly...but I have no information how to check it, can you help? Thanks very much
1 Answer JT, the main control EBR76542925 would be checked by the process of elimination. As the rest of the components tested good, the main control would be the most likely cause of failure. Read More...
James February 10, 2022 for Model Number DLEX4270V 1. My lg DLEX4270V has power on controls...but WON'T start. 2. The thermal fuse checked good. 3. The duct is clean. 4. The belt and pulley are good and in tact. 5. Door switch does click but not loudly. 6. The start switch has a box like component, so I don't see a way to test it. WHEN I PRESS THE START button I can hear 3 clicks. Thank you greatly for your help.
1 Answer James, You will want to test the door switch to make sure that it is good because this will be the most likely cause for the issue. There is also a belt switch that you will need to make sure that it is good. Read More...
Brandon January 27, 2022 for Model Number DLEX2801W My dryer seems to be overheating. Even on lowest dry settings, it's really hot. I checked the vent and it's clear. Will a bad cycling thermostat 6931EL3001F or a bad thermistor 6323EL2001B cause this issue?
1 Answer Hello Brandon, the most likely cause is a shorted/grounded heating element, best way to check it is to actually remove it and check the condition of the element. Read More...
Tavr0 November 06, 2021 for Model Number DLE2250W Hello, I recently replaced the cycling thermostat on this dryer. When I ran the dryer in diagnostic mode after the install, the temperature inside the dryer didn't rise to the setpoint in a smooth line. Instead, the temp would rise by 15-20 degrees, then would stay at that temp for 30-40 seconds, then I would hear the thermostat click and then the temp would rise by another 15-20, and so on, until it reached 145F. I was wondering if this is normal, or if the frequent clicking on and off indicates that there is another issue.
1 Answer Tavr0, this is going to be normal as the dryer is designed to cycle the heater on and off so that there is not an overheat caused. The clicking would be the heater relay on the control board. Read More...
