This check valve is a one-way valve used in the refrigerator's water line. It prevents backflow to maintain pressure for the dispenser and ice maker, helping reduce drips and ensuring consistent water delivery.

  • Allows water to flow in one direction only to prevent backflow
  • Helps maintain line pressure for steady dispensing and proper ice fills
  • May reduce post-dispense dripping at the water outlet
  • Failure symptoms can include slow/sputtering dispense, dripping, or inconsistent ice fills
What's included: 1 check valve. Install notes:
  • Unplug the appliance and shut off the household water supply before servicing
  • Dispense water to relieve pressure; place a towel to catch residual water
  • Note the valve's orientation/flow direction and tubing routing before removal
  • Fully seat tubing and secure connections; restore water and check for leaks

Questions & Answers

For Lg Check Valve (Water Line) (Part Number: OEM13345251)

Tivi, If the drain pump is running during the main wash cycle then this will most likely be caused by either a flood switch that thinks the unit is overfilling with water or the main control board is faulty. The flood switch is located on the side of the tub in the float assembly. You will want to check the switches on this assembly. The part number is 4769DD2001A for the float assembly.

My dishwasher gives me the code OE off and on. It drains off and on. If I catch it when it starts chiming, open the dishwasher door and then close it again, it starts draining the water out. So the water will drain out. Sometimes it will just go through the rinse cycle and be fine. It is leaving a little more water in the bottom of the dishwasher than it should sometimes and sometimes it is completely empty like it should be. Other times when it starts chiming and has the OE error code, the bottom is full of water, open the door, close it, and it will drain. Once before I had something stuck down in the pump and it wouldn't drain at all, so I don't believe it is the pump. Could it be the check value?

Robin, With the draining of the unit being an intermittent issue and the drain pump does work, this will most likely be a error with the control board of the unit.

Mike, It does sound like the check valve is faulty not allowing the unit to drain. You will want to replace the check valve MJX32862501.
