Jay January 18, 2018 for Model Number WM2455HW Apparently my *cold water INLET valve* is faulty. Washer will continuously fill even with power removed. NOW I've opened it and removed the INLET VALVE and notice VALVE #3(main supply) is stuck open. Can I hook the hot water INLET VALVE up in its place. Mount ht valve in place of cold valve and hook the sensor to it as if it's the correct valve. I realize this would prohibit me from being able to use the other two valves and their processes but would allow me to continue using washer with cold only water through the main line (#3). Will this work for a temporary solution...

R.T.O. December 20, 2017 for Model Number WM2770CW LG front loading washer WM2770CW is getting FE error and overfilled and leaked through the loading door. LG says most likely the inlet valve needs serviced/replaced. How do you know if it's the hot or cold water inlet valve that's causing the problem? Recent flooding occurred during a warm water washing, but not sure if it was during the wash, rinse or spin cycles.

Rto December 19, 2017 for Model Number LG WM2077CW Constantly getting FE error on LG front loading washer and water is leaking out from main loading door. Most recently it happened during a warm water cycle. How do you know which water inlet valve to replace (hot or cold)? Is there a way to test for one versus the other?
1 Answer RTO, If this issue is occuring just on the warm cycle then the only way to determine which would be the issue would be to shut off each water supply valve and see if the water shuts off. John Z November 08, 2016 for Model Number WM2277HW I replaced the cold water and hot water valves on the machine because the machine was filling very slowly. I replaced both valves and cold water valve is working perfectly but the hot water valve does not open. My plan is to return the new hot water valve for a replacement hoping that would resolve it.
