For Lg Washer Water Inlet Valve Assembly (Part Number: OEM13327833)

Jay for Model Number WM2455HW

Apparently my *cold water INLET valve* is faulty. Washer will continuously fill even with power removed. NOW I've opened it and removed the INLET VALVE and notice VALVE #3(main supply) is stuck open. Can I hook the hot water INLET VALVE up in its place. Mount ht valve in place of cold valve and hook the sensor to it as if it's the correct valve. I realize this would prohibit me from being able to use the other two valves and their processes but would allow me to continue using washer with cold only water through the main line (#3). Will this work for a temporary solution...

Jay, Unfortunately if the cold water valve is faulty you will need to replace the valve to get the unit to work properly.

Hello R.T.O., Most of the time the cold water valve sill give the issue since it is exposed to more sedimentation and mineral deposits than the hot is since most of this stays in the water heater. For a more detailed diagnosis, I'm sorry but we will need you to post a new question including the verified model number from the units' I.D. tag since it will not come up for us as a valid model number. Thank you for your patience and understanding in this matter.

RTO, If this issue is occuring just on the warm cycle then the only way to determine which would be the issue would be to shut off each water supply valve and see if the water shuts off. If you shut off the cold and the hot continues to run then that would be the issue and vice versa.

James, The hoses should go to the water inlet valve the same way that they are lined up so from left to right will connect left to right.

Kevin, With the error code that you are getting the water valve would be the most likely cause. You will want to check the screens on the valve to make sure that they are not clogged and if not then replace the valve.

John, You will want to check to make sure that there is power getting to the hot water valve on the unit. If there is power then the issue will be the valve that needs replaced.
