Greg April 12, 2020 for Model Number WM1815CS I have the lg model wm1815cs. Unit will not fill with water.getting ie code. ordered the valve for the cold water side hoping this is the issue, but have a feeling this isnt going to correct the problem since i get no hot water either...do you think this is a valve problem or a control unit problem?
1 Answer Greg, The best way to approach this would be to do a voltage test. Set the unit to a wash cycle and test the valve for 120 Vac. If there is 120 Vac then the valve will be the issue. If there is not 120 Vac then the issue will be a faulty control board. Read More...
Jake March 23, 2020 for Model Number WM2277HW I have replaced the water inlet and hot water inlet valves. I also replaced the pressure switch. I run a self-diagnostic sequence and water will not come out in the wash cycle or sequence 5. Water comes out in all other cycles when running a diagnostic test. Not sure what else to try or replace?
1 Answer Jake, based on the information provided, this is going to be an issue with the main control programming having failed. Unfortunately, the manufacturer has discontinued the main control 6871ER1078T and it is no longer available. Read More...
Andy December 31, 2019 for Model Number WM2010CW I just replaced the drain pump and door boot (big rubber seal on our washing machine). I noticed an additional problem that is happening, while the machine is OFF water is leaking to the inside of the drum. I took the top off and noticed that the hot and cold are separate assembly types, so I shut the hot off and the water kept leaking, which leads me to believe it'd be the cold that's bad. Would replacing this part solve that issue?
1 Answer Andy, Based on your post information and description, replacing the 5220FR2075L / 5220FR2075L Water Inlet Valve Assembly, would solve the issue. The part is in stock and available at this time. Thanks Read More...

Deborah June 24, 2018 I have a LG Washer WM2301HW and it will not dispense the soap when going through the wash cycle. What could be causing my washer to do that ? What part would I need ? THANKS, DEBBIE
1 Answer Debbie, You're very close to being correct. First, open the dispenser drawer and remove the dispenser cup capss, check to make sure the syphon tubes on the underside of the caps aren't clogged or distorted. check the bottom of the dispenser drawer, make sure theres no debris or sediment in the bottom of the drawer. If all's OK, or the problem persists, replace the 5220FR2075L / 5220FR2075L Water Inlet Valve. Thanks, Read More...

Cliff March 04, 2018 for Model Number WM2075CW My washing machine stopped filling, tried all trouble shooting and since that didn't work, sounds like it is the water inlet valve. We almost always use only cold water and rarely use the hot. So to trouble shoot further, I tried the hot, but it won't fill either. Does the cold water inlet valve control both the hot and cold? Or could there be another electrical problem where the valves are not getting power?
1 Answer Cliff, No, the cold water inlet valve does not control the hot water solenoid, they are independent of each other and controlled through the thermistor in the front of the tub, and power is supplied by the main control board. If the thermistor had failed you should have a "TE" error code in the display. You may want to check the inlet valve solenoids they should have a resistance of 800 to 1200 ohms resistance with a multi meter. Then check the wiring between the fill valves and the main control board 6871ER1058A / 6871ER1058A. If all's OK, replace the control board. Read More...
Michael January 21, 2018 for Model Number LG WM2455HW I need to replace both hot and cold water inlet valves. Can you tell me the LG part numbers. Also, is it difficult to remove and clean the inlet screens? Thanks
1 Answer Hello Michael. You can not remove the screens but you can clean them with a toothbrush. However, if you replace the valves 5220FR2075L and 5220FR2006H, you will have new screens on the unit. Read More...
