Kenny July 09, 2020 for Model Number RF31FMESBSR Hi, The connection from the refrigerator to the evaporator fan had a short and burn. I have bought the fan but I need to replace the wiring receiving connector from the refrigerator. Do carry the wire part? Thanks,
1 Answer Kenny, unfortunately, the manufacturer does not list the connector on the liner as a replaceable part. Read More...
Jason October 31, 2018 for Model Number RF23HCEDBBC/AA About once a week the fridge section gets really warm And the display lights flash. I'll unplug the refigerator for a few minutes and plug it back in and then it will work fine until next time. The Ice maker in the fridge section will also devolpe a lot of frost and ice around the ice maker and I'll hear it hitting the fan. I'm getting three error codes E22, E25 and E39 I thought it might be a defrost issue and I replaced the main board DA92-00594B but it did not fix the problem.
1 Answer Jason, the error codes E22 and E39 indicate a problem in the fans, probably because of the ice and frost build up because of the E25 error code indicating a defrost issue in the fresh food/refrigerator compartment. Since you've already replaced the control board, you'll need to remove the air tunnel/back wall of the refrigerator and check the defrost heater, defrost thermostat and defrost sensor circuits and wires. Bob June 02, 2018 for Model Number RF23HCEDTSR SAMSUNG Fan in top rear of refrigerator was making a loud noise (goes and comes) went away from home for 5 days. On return there was no noise and I do not think motor is running. Refrigerator will not get cooler than 42 degrees and produce is sweating in the frige. Does this sound like the motor is bad and needs to be replaced.
1 Answer Bob, This issue sounds like there may be ice built up around the fan causing it to not run. It is possible that the fan is faulty as well. Read More...
Ed Cutright July 24, 2017 for Model Number rf28hdedtsr/aa The fan in my Samsung was making noise (fan behind the back panel of the fridge. I pulled the panel and the fan - it's a small fan similar to the fan in a computer power supply - and applied 12V DC to the pins in the connector that the Red and Black leads go to, and the fan runs. When installed in the fridge, it does not run. Is it possible the fan motor is the problem? The motor has a third white lead - use unknown to me...
1 Answer Ed, You will want to check to see if there is 12 vdc at the connection on the main control board to the fan and if there is not then the main board would be the issue. Read More...
