Anna, it would be recommended that the ice route cover DA97-00883E is inspected for a broken pin. It is likely that the pin where the spring mounts has broken and if it has, the cover would need to be replaced.

Some models do not have a screw, in which case you can just pull the unit out to release it. If you are super careful you can pop it out by using a putty knife around the display.

Wade, To remove the dispenser once the screw is out you will pull the dispenser to the side and will need to pull out once pulling to the right.

Ryan, The spring will be pulled around to tighten it and then will lay against the housing to hold it in place. Unfortunately we do not have a photo showing this.
