Hello, Virginia. You'll need to replace all four suspension rods. You can use the AP5966911, they are a lot chipper and should work just fine. Also, get a lubricant p/n TJ17-132 and lube the upper and lower joints. Thank you.

The difference between the two support rods would be the capacity, size, and weight of the tubs and clothing, 4.2 cu, ft. vs 4.5 cu.ft.

They are probably ordering the [DC97-16350C] which is a suspension rod kit for some of the other Samsung top load washer. The DC97-16350E Suspension Support rod are individual parts and are the rods you should be installing on your model Samsung top load washer.

Hello Robert, The manufacturer recommends that all suspension rods be changed at the same time to avoid one or more of the springs being weaker or stronger. If this occurs, it will cause an out-of-balance condition.
