Alison June 09, 2021 for Model Number DV337AEG/XAA Dryer will not heat. I have replaced the element and the fuses and cleaned the vent. Does this model have a radiant sensor that tells the dryer if the vent is clogged?
1 Answer Alison, it would be recommended that the terminal block is tested for 240VAC where the power cord connects to the dryer. If there is not 240VAC when testing from the red wire to the black wire with a meter, the outlet would need to be tested to identify if the power cord has failed or if there is a different issue. If there is 240VAC, the heater relay can be tested for voltage while the dryer is running. If the voltage reads 240VAC when testing from the black wire to the black wire, this identifies that the motor is operating and the thermistor DC32-00007A on the blower housing will need to be tested for resistance after unplugging the power cord. The thermistor should read 10K Ohms at room temperature. If it tests good, then the failure is in the main control MFS-DV327L-00 (unfortunately, the manufacturer has discontinued the control and it is no longer available). If the thermistor fails, it would need to be replaced. Read More...
Billy May 27, 2021 for Model Number DV448AEP/XAA-0000 When I put the setting on normal setting, the dryer cuts off too soon. It's heating up, just not running long enough. Is this a sensor issue?
1 Answer Billy, it would be recommended that the sensor bars are thoroughly cleaned as a thin residue can accumulate on the bars, preventing them from operating properly and causing a short cycle. Read More...
Alan April 27, 2020 for Model Number DV317AES/XAA-0000 There is moisture and a bit of lint on the inside (bottom) of thee dryer door. I am thinking either the Guide. sensor, or the door seal. Clothes dry butt the the door FRAM inside is messy. HELP.
1 Answer Hello Alan, suggest you check the exhaust duct/hose for the dryer, poor venting/airflow will cause the symptom you are describing. Read More...
Wayne April 11, 2019 for Model Number DV448AGP/XAA The dryer doesn’t realize the clothes are dry and keeps running with heat until it times out. Is there a sensor issue? Thank You
1 Answer Wayne, you may want to check to ensure that the sensors do not show continuity unless a moist item is applied to both sensor bars at the same time. If there is continuity, then you may want to identify where in the wiring that the sensors are bridging together as they are an open state unless moisture bridges them together. If the sensors check good, then you will have a main control [DC92-00123A] issue as this is responsible for receiving the input from the sensor circuit. Read More...
1 Answer Hello Dave. This part is located inside the door on the lint filter assembly. Hope this helps. Read More...
