Michael April 27, 2020 for Model Number RF268ABWP i recently ordered and recieved two french door gaskets ,part # DA97-05253B. I started installing them today and discovered that the new gaskets are about 3/4 of inch longer than the old ones, i have tried to install the new one several times and even placed it out in the sun to warm and tried again. i am unable to get this gasket to work, when i try and smooth the sides it simply pushes the gasket out at the bottom. wondering if this may be a quality control issue as i've double checked the part number and this is the part it indicates. any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks Mike
1 Answer Michael, According to the manufacturer, this is the correct door gasket DA97-05253B for your unit. When installing the gasket you will want to make sure that you are not sliding your finger down the gasket but push in a little at a time and see if this does not correct the issue.
