Arte, for the start button to work intermittently, the failure would likely be in the user control DC92-01624B as the rest of the console is operating properly.

Washer runs 3-5 minutes on all cycles, then quits and drains. 4E error every time. Spin only does work. Everything I can find indicates an issue with water supply. The machine seems to be getting plenty of water when it fills. We have replaced water level pressure sensor, new inlet water valves (cold and hot), new water supply hoses, checked and cleaned the drain catcher at the front of the machine; checked all connections, checked all hoses, calibrated load, as well as replaced the front control board/panel - and it still will not complete a full wash cycle. Any ideas? Help would be greatly appreciated.

Hello MJ, the control board is not detecting the water fill and gives that code, since the washer is actually filling that leaves the water level sensing circuit. Since you have replaced the water level sensor suggest you replace the airdrome/airline tubing assembly, a very small crack or pinhole or poor fitting/clogged airdrome would prevent the pressure switch from seeing the air pressure rise as the tub filled.

I've been getting an 8C error off and on for awhile now. Recently it got more frequent. I replaced the MEMs sensor but it didn't fix the problem. I checked the continuity of the wires from the mems sensor to the board and everything checked out. I also checked the voltage for the wires was between 0.5V and 4.5V. The red wire also checked out at 3.3V as expected. At this point, I can run some modes like normal with medium spin but I can't run others without it stopping and giving me the 8C error. Could this be a board problem?

1 Answer

David, as the MEMS sensor has been replaced and the wiring harness tested good, the only other possibility is an intermittent failure in the main control DC92-01021V.

Julian, based on the information provided the failure would be in the main control. There should be a fluctuating DC voltage at connection CN802 pin 4 and pin 5 as they are used for communicating with the main control. However, there should be a 5VDC at pin 7 and a 12VDC at pin 9 when the power button is pressed. More than likely the user interface is not receiving the 12VDC to power on the user interface, indicating the main control has failed.

Jamie, With this issue, you will want to check for loose or damaged wires or connections. It sounds likely that this would be the issue.

Ray, more than likely the main control DC92-01625B is the issue. You may want to check the wiring from the user interface control to the main control to ensure that it is firmly in place and that there is not a broken wire. There is a small chance that the user interface control DC92-01624B has a bad push to start button, however, there is not a testing procedure to see if the start button has failed.

Claude, If you are loosing power to the hot water valve and the thermistor has been replaced, check the wiring between the control and the thermistor and if this checks ok then the control will be the most likely cause for this issue.
