John May 18, 2018 I too need to replace swinging panel part 8-4 because the knob on the top has broken off. So I get the part and instead of having the knob on the top it has a place for a "top guide" as it was referred to in the repair video,at the 5:20 mark. It looks like this part is the same as the one on my refrigerator except for that. I'm guessing that Samsung changed the design because that part kept breaking off. I don't see a "top guide" part anywhere in the part diagram. How do I get the "top guide" or do I have the wrong part? The model # is RFG297AARS/XAA.

Raymond C. June 25, 2017 for Model Number Samsung RFG297AARS Hello. I am trying to figure out what part I need. I have a Samsung RFG297AARS French Door Refrigerator. The left door has a swinging panel that seals the center between the two doors. At the top ot this panel is a plastic knob that fits into a guide at the top of the cabinet. The guide is fine but the plastic knob that protrudes from the top of the swinging panel is broken and it no longer fits into the guide. Do I need part 8-4 in the Left Door diagram? Eugene P March 16, 2017 for Model Number Samsung RFG297AARS Hi guys. Trying to figure out what part I need. I have a Samsung RFG297AARS fridge. The left door of the fridge has a little swinging part on its end that's supposed to slide into the fridge via a guiding plastic knob on the top. That knob has broken off.
