Jojo W. October 16, 2016 for Model Number WA50F9A6DSW/A2-0001 The back right leg broke off level with some of the plastic leg still screwed in. There is nothing to grab to try to unscrew the imbedded piece still in the machine? What is the best way to remove the broken piece so I can screw in a new leg?
1 Answer Hello JoJo, There are basically two choices. One: you can tilt the machine up so you can reach inside and try to turn the leg from the other end, and is sometimes easier to screw into the machine and remove from inside. The other choice is to drill a hole in the center of the broken leg and use an "easy out" to remove it. This had to be done very carefully so none of the base is drilled since this would ruin the threads requiring the main base to be replaced. Read More...
