Questions & Answers

For Samsung Washer Door Lock Assembly (Part Number: OEM16731549)

Tony for Model Number WF431ABP/XAA

My washer has absolutely no power to front panel. The wall switch and washer has power to the washer. There is power to all the internal power connections. The main on /off power switch will not alluminate any of the red led light controls located in the front of the washer. Giving me the impression there is no power coming in but everything is hot inside. We went to use it and was dead at the power switch. Could it a bad door safety closure switch blocking out the power to the rest of the washer.

1 Answer

Tony, The door switch would not cause the unit to have no display or the start button to not work. With there being power to the main control board it is more likely with your issue to be the Display PCB that has failed and would need to be replaced.

Raj, the manufacturer uses both on the given model, probably a series change. If you removed part number DC34-00024B from your appliance I would suggest using this part. Thanks!

Shelley, The part that would be required would be the door lock switch part number DC34-00024B. To install it is not necessary to remove the front panel. You can remove the spring around the door opening and pull the door boot off the front and change the lock from this point.
