Joshua, the thermostat DE47-00050C would be used. However, it sounds like the wire terminal is loose and would need to be tightened up while changing out the thermostat.

John, Thanks for the question!!! It would not be a thermostat. It would be either the fan motor or a relay on the control board. Check for the proper voltage from control to fan, if the voltage is correct replace the fan. If not replace the control board.

Dave, Test the fuse for continuity and if the fuse is blown then the most likely cause for this will be the door switches.

Robb, The thermostat would cause the heat to not work and replacing it corrected that issue but the fan running continuously would be caused by replacing it with the wrong part. The one that you received should be normally closed for continuity and would go in place of the thermostat that is next to it and you should have gotten a normally open thermostat DE47-00050C to put where you put the other one.

Tony, the thermostat would need to be heated with a hairdryer to get it to closing temperature. This would be done when the part is out of the appliance.
