Xavier May 22, 2024 for Model Number DW80J3020US We have a Samsung DW80J3020us dishwasher. For the past two weeks, the dishwasher has only started the cycle with normal draining, then starts filling the water. However, after 5 seconds of filling, it stops and the automatic light starts flashing. The dishwasher performs 3 drains, then stops and does nothing. We've tried replacing the inlet valve with the DC62-30314K instead of the DC62-30314H (the original valve) and also replaced the case break and the problem is the same... Any suggestions/ideas?
1 Answer Xavier, this is going to indicate that there is an issue with the water flow. If the supply tubing is not kinked and the supply valve is turned fully on, the most likely cause of failure would be the main control DD82-01247A based on the information provided. Read More...
Brian April 23, 2023 for Model Number DW80R7060US Samsung dishwasher, turns on but won’t fill with water. No error codes. Just is bone dry inside after the cycle is done. Water is on and getting to the inlet valve. Tested the valve. It has 1k resistance. Tested the door latch switch. It was fine too. There was no continuity from the water valve wires, however. Not sure if that was normal. Only thing I can think of is the control board.
1 Answer Brian, Based on the description you will need to check for power to the valve when it should be filling. Power to the valve and it doesn't open the replace the valve. If no power to the valve, check the connections and the wiring back to the board, if no power from the board to the valve then replace the board. Read More...
Ed June 05, 2020 for Model Number DW80J3020US The Samsung DW80J3020US DW will start as normal without issue. Below are the steps of running a “Normal” cycle: 1. Fill with some water (5 – 10 seconds) 2. Immediately then drain (I can hear the water discharging under the sink correctly) (5 – 10 seconds) 3. I can then hear the DW motor running a minute or two The DW will then repeat these steps 3 - 4 times and about 9 – 10 minutes into the cycle during the filling step it suddenly stops with 3 beeps and the Auto and Heavy lights begin flashing. The DW then immediately drains the water and followed by the motor running (not sure what it’s doing) for a minute or two. When opening the DW there is no water in the bottom as it has properly drained. The issue always occurs during filling of water, usually, the 3rd time in the fill and drain sequence during the initial/start up.
1 Answer Ed, at the main control, the connectors at CN301 and CN 302 will need to be removed. From there, place one meter probe at pin 5 of CN301 and the other meter probe at pin 4 of CN302. If 5VDC is present, the main control DD82-01247A is working properly. If not, the main control would need to be replaced. If there was good voltage, the next step would be to inspect the wires going to the overflow sensor on the case break assembly DD82-01373A. If the wires and connections are good, and there is not water in the top of the case break, the case break would need to be replaced as the sensor has failed. Read More...
William August 31, 2019 Samsung DW80J3020US D.W will power on, pump will run for a minute or so then the "AUTO" will blink. Im assuming its the water valve cause its not filling with water. DD62-00084A Is 3/8 and my D.W has the 3/4" inlet, is it the same valve? Should I also purchase the flow meter with the inlet valve? Thank you
1 Answer William, the valve DD62-00084A is the correct one for your model and the 3/4 inlet is an elbow that would be unscrewed from the original valve and installed on a new one. As there is no water filling into the unit at all even after a minute of the valve engaging, the flow sensor would be an unlikely issue. Read More...
Lee February 06, 2019 for Model Number DW7933LRAWW/AA My dishwasher never has heated the water. We went back to the place we bought it from 3 years ago and were told that some models are that way. Just run the hot water before turning the dishwasher on and that should take care of things. We did that but we still are not really satisfied with the machine performance. Recently we were appliance shopping and asked the salesperson about this situation. He said that it was nonsense and that something is wrong. Is a Samsung dishwasher model DW7933LRASR/AA supposed to heat the water and/or produce heat to dry dishes? If so, what could be the problem? HELP!!!
1 Answer Lee, There is a heater that is located in the pump assembly that you would want to test to see if the heater is getting 120 vac to it when the unit is operating. If there is 120 vac but the heater is not coming on then the heater would be the issue and need to be replaced. Read More...
Trevor June 23, 2018 for Model Number DW7933LRASR/AA-0001 On start up the DW will first drain any remaining water then will start to fill with water. During the filling cycle the water makes a very loud noise as if there is an obstruction? I checked the water supply and even changed the supply line, now I'm thinking maybe it's the inlet valve?? Any suggestions?
1 Answer Trevor, With the unit making a loud noise when filling then this would most likely be caused by a faulty water valve on the unit. Read More...
Glenn June 02, 2018 for Model Number DW7933LRASR After starting the DW, the pump drains first the water if any and then it start to fill up water. About 5 seconds into the filling up, it stops and the quickmode button blinks - indicating a water supply error. i am positive that water is going into the DW because i put a paper near the water opening inside the DW and it is getting wet.. what could be the issue and how do I proceed? Thank you.
1 Answer Glenn, Disconnect and check the water supply line to the dishwasher, flush a couple of gallons of water through the line and into a bucket or pan, then replace the DD62-00084A / DD62-00084A Water Valve. The solenoid is weak, and is shutting the water flow off during the fill cycle. Read More...
Charles P. June 02, 2018 for Model Number Samsung DW DMT800RHS/XAA Getting the OE error so replaced the sensor. This didn't help. Now I realize it's filling with water even when the unit is off. I've read it could be the water valve or main board. Is there a way to test? I'd be OK with a new inlet valve but if it's the main board I'm buying something more reliable.
1 Answer Hello Charles, The main board would not cause the unit to fill slowly with water. Filling while the unit is off would only be caused by low water pressure supplied from the home plumbing or a water valve DD62-00084A that is not closing properly. Read More...
Jason May 06, 2018 for Model Number DMT400RHS/XAA Does this part come with the gasket to the hose inlet?
1 Answer Jason, This water valve DD62-00084A will not have any gaskets for the inlet hose. Read More...
Bill January 03, 2018 for Model Number DW7933LRASR/AA-0001 I'm getting an Over-Level water error. I've replaced the sensor twice before the current replacement. Each time, except the last, it resolved the problem for approximately 1 year. This time, the Over-Level water error tripped on the first load. I'm not sure how to approach this from here. I just received a new sensor, purchased from you folks, that I installed about an hour ago. How likely is it the new sensor was bad? I watched the water fill and it passed the high water sensor and stopped at the upper "sensor," and drained. ideas?
1 Answer Bill, While it is possible that the water level switch is bad this issue would be more likely either the water valve is not closing off all the way or there is a fault in the control board. Read More...
