Part Number: OEM15945573
Manufacturer Part Number: PA020041

This spark module controls ignition for the surface burners on gas cooktops and ranges. When a knob is turned, it generates the high-voltage spark needed to light the gas, restoring fast, consistent burner ignition across four positions.

  • Generates high-voltage pulses to ignite up to four surface burners
  • Activates when a burner switch is turned to provide reliable sparking to the igniters
  • Common symptoms include no spark on any surface burner
  • Intermittent or weak sparking across multiple burners
  • Burners only lighting with an external flame
What's included: One spark module. Install notes:
  • Disconnect electrical power and shut off gas before servicing
  • Photograph or label all wire positions; move wires to the new module one at a time to avoid miswiring
  • Mount the module securely in the original location; keep leads dry and routed away from heat/sharp edges
  • High-voltage hazard: do not touch igniter outputs during testing; verify all connections are fully seated before restoring power

Bill, We would need to have the model number of your range in order to determine the best course of action on this. Please resubmit your question with the model number.

Hello Joyce, thank you for contacting Appliance Parts Pros. That will either be the spark module [PA020048] or the igniter not being positioned properly to allow the spark module to read continuity through the flame. I would check that the igniters are centered in their openings and that there is no carbon/soot build up on the burner heads before replacing the spark module.

Mark, For this issue, check to make sure that the burner head and cap are clean. If this is clean then the issue would most likely be the spark module PA020041.

Michael, The design of the range is for all of the burners to click when one is turned on. This is a safety in case of there being a gas leak at one of the burners or if one was slightly left on so that it will ignite.

Claude for Model Number VGIC3054BSS

Hi, I have a problem, sometimes ignition works sometimes doesn't work at all. No click and no fire. When we look at the part actually in the stove, we note that it's a RI 120E-4 but in the book that they gave us when we bought the stove many years ago, this part is supposed to be PA0020047. This part does not look at what we have in place actually. The actual part RI-120E-4 worked for many years and never been replaced. We are a little bit mixed up to buy the good part to replace the actual ignition spark module. Can you help us ? Thanks in advance

Jim, It would not be recommended to use the PA020047 in place of the PA020041. There is a difference in the way they mount and while they have the same input, the output is not listed for the one that does not go to your unit. It is recommended to use the manufacturer part listed for your unit.
