John S April 08, 2018 for Model Number Whirlpool Model LSQ9549LW I pulled the 2 piece agitator assembly out of my top loader and tried to separate the upper agitator from the bottom agitator, and with all my might the 2 pieces would not separate. I watched your 2 videos on replacing the dogs and noticed you mentioned some tabs could be removed before reassembly. You did not mention these tabs when taking the assembly apart. Could it be that these 4 tabs are holding the assembly together and not allowing me to pull it apart? Should I try to cut those 4 tabs out? If I get the 2 pieces apart, it looks like I only need to order the 4 pieces of dogs and not the whole kit. The cogs on the white part of the agitator look in good condition. I appreciate your advise.
