This auger motor and yoke assembly powers the auger that moves ice from the freezer bin through the dispenser, restoring reliable ice delivery when the auger no longer turns or dispenses ice properly. What it does:

  • Drives and supports the auger shaft that pushes ice to the dispenser chute
  • Replaces a failed or noisy auger motor to restore normal ice dispensing
  • Helps when the auger does not rotate, ice won't dispense, or the motor is unusually loud
  • Interfaces with the dispenser gearbox/yoke to keep the auger aligned and turning
What's included:
  • One auger motor and yoke assembly
Install notes:
  • Disconnect power to the refrigerator before beginning any work
  • Remove the ice bin and any obstructing panels to access the auger assembly
  • Handle parts and panels carefully—sharp edges may be present

Hello Mike. I have not had a similar problem, most auger motors either run or don't run. Most of the problems are due to a stripped auger drive yoke, not the motor itself. No, the auger motor is not a DC motor, it's an AC, and only has 2 wires to it. I can only recommend you re-order the part12001773 (you have the correct part number). Looking at the drive shaft, it should rotate in a clockwise direction. Hope this is helpful and Thanks,
