Don February 27, 2023 for Model Number KP26M1XMR The model number listed on the bottom of my KA Professional 600 is KP26M1XMR - no number after it. The color was listed as Meringue when i got it and it's a bright white. I need a new lower gear housing for it as the part of the housing that houses the panetary shaft bearing sheared off. Do you know what part number that would be?
1 Answer Don, unfortunately, the lower meringue gearcase base 9708665 has been discontinued by the manufacturer and is no longer available. The transmission housing 8212396 that mounts to it is still available. Read More...
Gavin June 22, 2020 for Model Number KP26M1XLC I have the Kitchenaid Stand Mixer 6QT model, Bowl lift, 575W. I checked the model # at the bottom of the mixer, which reads "KP26M1XLC." It does not have a number after that, so I am not sure if it is "KP26M1XLC5" or "KP26M1XLC4." The gearcase housing is bad. I bought one from another place with part #WP9706047, but it did not fit. Please advise the correct part # for my mixer. Thanks.
1 Answer Hello Gavin, according to the manufacturer, your mixer in either -4 or -5 version ( in Licorice color) shows as lower gearcase part W11123167. Read More...

Phillip V. January 01, 2014 for Model Number Kitchenaid classic mixer. Does this mixer have any oil in it?
1 Answer Phillip, Yes, there is Grease located in or on the planetary gears and gear case above the lower gear case housing WP9706047. " All KitchenAid Stand Mixer Gearcases are lubricated with 6 Fluid Ounces of:BENALENE 930-2 GREASE (OR EQUIVALENT) NOTE: Gearcases lubricated with this grease will not require lubrication for years." This is a "heavy" thick oil or grease and lasts quite some time. After some time based on usage and age, the oil viscosity changes and can drip from the casing. Whenever the gear case is serviced, the grease should be cleaned out and replaced. Read More...
