Manny June 08, 2011 for Model Number Amana model LW6501W2 I already installed a new belt to pump/motor housing. My problem is that I do not seem to have any way of securing the motor housing to the frame. I believe I bought the correct belt for this particular model (Belt serial # is 28808). Do I need to buy a bigger belt or is there any thing I need to loosen in order to give me some slag so I can secure the motor housing to the frame of the washer? Can you please help me?
1 Answer Hello Manny. Yes, you bought the correct belt. You will need to remove the belt from the large pulley, then install the motor bracket to the frame. Once the motor is installed, you will roll the belt onto the large pulley. Hope this helps. Read More...
Scott M. April 01, 2011 for Model Number LW7503W2 I have purchased a new belt and am trying to install it. I have taken the motor assembly out of the washer and took off the 3 screws to the pump to try to remove the pump to get the belt around the shaft but the pump does not seem to want to come off. Any ideas?
1 Answer Hello Scott. Some of these pumps can be tight. You will need to try to work it off by moving it from side to side, and see if it comes off. Be careful not to break the pump. Hope this helps. Read More...
