Joe February 27, 2011 I've determined a rumbling sound coming from my Maytag dryer. I've removed the blower wheel from the motor and eliminated any rumblings. Should the blower wheel have a flat spot in its center to be held securely to the motor shafts flat area? My wheels center is completely round and could this be causing the problem? Thanks, Joe
1 Answer Yes, it is possible your blower wheel is causing the noise. Part number Y303836 is supposed to have a flat side. Sometimes they will wear out in the center and the sloppy fit causes it to wobble making a noise. Sounds like you're on the right track. Thanks! Read More...
