Brian September 12, 2017 for Model Number SVE47500B A few weeks back the oven was slow to heat. Now, no heat from baking or Broiler coils. Also an F1 code and occasionally an F2 code. Where is the Power Relay board located? It shows it on the Body parts drawing but not a location. It's labeled as #29 on the drawing but it's location is not clear.
1 Answer Brian, The power relay board should be located on the back of the unit. When you remove the panel it should be located right there. Read More...
Don July 06, 2017 for Model Number SVE47500B. Maytag/jenair The cancel/off button doesn't work. Can't turn off the oven. Need to trip the breaker to do so.
1 Answer Hello Don. Based on the information you provided, it sounds like the membrane switch WP71002041 is bad and will need to be replaced. Read More...
Melissa February 13, 2017 Hello I need to get my model number for specific part purchase, but I have a JennAire range in my island with a downdraft. The front display started fading and is now completely black, and the front right glass top burner stopped working. The other 3 work fine. Oven doesn't work because digital display is out. Any ideas what may be wrong? Sorry it's so vague. Thank you!! Melissa
1 Answer Hello Melissa. It sounds like the control board will need to be replaced. As for the burner not working, you will need to check and see if the switch is bad and is not sending power to the burner. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html Read More...
Steve February 13, 2017 for Model Number SVD48600P Turned on the oven to 100 degrees, the bottom unit "appeared" to never turn on, but the top unit continued to heat until the fault code, F2 flashed. I tried to cancel, but the front control panel would not respond. I turned the breaker off for 10 minutes, but when turned on, the the top unit turned back on and continued to heat. I left the breaker off over night, but when turning the breaker back on, the top unit began to heat. I hit convection bake and programmed in 225. The top unit turned off, the bottom began to heat and came up to, and held temp. All seems good for now. This has happened once before, but turning the breaker off and on to reset the unit worked.
1 Answer Steve, This issue would most likely be caused by a faulty relay board on the unit. The part number would be 12001689. Read More...
Rich June 08, 2015 for Model Number SVE47500B For no reason the oven door lock turns on and runs. Would this be a touch pad or a relay board issue? When it running you cannot turn oven on but you can set it to clean. Everything else works ok. Thanks
1 Answer Hello Rich, This will most likely be the control WP71001799 but can be caused by a defective door latch assembly WP71001845. Read More...
Jonathan February 22, 2012 for Model Number SVE47500B My lower oven heating element overheated. I replaced the heating element but the element does not heat up. The top heating element works fine, but the temperature reading on the front panel always reads 100. Is the relay board the problem? Thank you.
1 Answer Hello Jonathan. Test the high limit WP7403P899-60 and make sure it is closed. If so, and the relay is not sending power to the element, you will need to replace the relay board 12001689. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. Hope this helps. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html Read More...
Robert M. December 26, 2011 for Model Number SVE47500B My down draft fan stop working and all others worked until today known of the burners or oven works. I beleived the downdraft board is out.
1 Answer Hi Robert. The downdraft relay board is part # 12001694. It is mounted on the back of the unit. It is advisable to also get the heat shield plate part # WP3604M302-51. Also the oven thermostat part # WP7403P899-60, is mounted on the back. It needs to be bypassed to see if this will bring back the oven element power. It will ohm closed if good. There is another main power relay board mounted beside the down draft board. It is part # 12001689. You can also follow the wiring diagram (behind the lower kick plate or behind the controls. This will show you the correct relay to test for 120 vac output to each device. Did you recently use the self clean mode ? If so then the abnormal temperatures 900°+ may have opened the boards. You also need to ohm out the oven sensor for 1080-1,100 ohms. Wiggle the wires as you test it to make sure there are no opens or shorts. It is part # 12001656. Thank You. Read More...
Ron November 10, 2011 for Model Number SVE47500B The oven will heat up to 325 and stops. I can turn the boiler on for a minute and then turn the oven back on and it will go ahead and heat up. Every so often I can turn the oven on to a 375 or 400 setting and it will heat up fine. I have replaced the temp probe and bake element. Now I dont know what else to do. This is a jenn-air SVE47500B
1 Answer Hi ron. It sounds like its time to change the relay board on the back. Part # 12001689. It is the larger of 2 of them on the back. The other is for the downdraft control. The relays are not holding power as the contacts or windings are weak. Thank You. Read More...
