Mike L July 31, 2013 for Model Number GGW9868KQ3 Odor of gas at vent outlet. Gas company says it is" uncombustible gas" Service tech says flame is too small and it needs new burner for $200.00 plus labor. I vacumed the inside of dryer and tapped the valve with head of screwdriver.....I see blue flame that fills the 'tube' Could it have been a sticky valve? What do you think???
1 Answer Mike, You will want to check to make sure that the venting from the outside of your home to the blower wheel is clean. If so then you will want to also check the burner to make sure that there is no rust and check to make sure that the ports are clear. Read More...

Felix F. February 24, 2012 for Model Number GGW925OPLO I bought a used Whirlpool Duet gas dryer. We smelled gas and the the gas company said that it was gas valve on the dryer leaking. How can I save money by just replacing the valve without the whole burner assembly?
