Carlo July 26, 2017 for Model Number WTW4800XQ1 When in wash cycle, clothing gets wrapped around agitator. Rinse & spin, drain & spin work fine. Checked dawgs on agitator, looks ok. Checked clutch assembly, looks ok. What could be the problem.
1 Answer Hello Carlo! First you'll want to visually inspect the agitator paddles for any damages. If they are smooth and show no damages, you'll want to pull your agitator off and verify that the agitator has not stripped from the bottom where it engages your gearcase. Hope this helps! Read More...

Diane R. June 26, 2017 for Model Number MVWX655DWO We find our clothes wet, sometimes nearly dripping wet. I've stood there and watched it spin and it seems like everytime the basket is just getting up to a reasonably high speed, it slows down and then will eventually speed up, but never stays in the high-speed mode for more than a few seconds and sometimes will come to a complete halt, reverse direction and start spinning again. To me, the water is working it's way to the outer most part of the clothes to be drained through the tub, but then it reverses direction
1 Answer Hello Diane, While this sounds like a possible harness issue, you should still first run the diagnostics to see what, if any, fault codes are stored in the control. This is the best way to pinpoint the issue without randomly throwing parts at the machine. 1. Be sure the washer is in standby mode (plugged in with all indicators off). 2. Perform the following sequence of movement using the cycle selector knob. NOTE: AFTER RESET, sequence “a” through “e” must be completed within 6 seconds. RESET - Rotate cycle selector knob counterclockwise to clear sequence. a. Rotate cycle selector knob clockwise one click and wait ½ second. b. Rotate cycle selector knob clockwise one click and wait ½ second. c. Rotate cycle selector knob clockwise one click and wait ½ second. d. Rotate cycle selector knob counterclockwise one click and wait ½ second. e. Rotate cycle selector knob clockwise one click. Successful activation of this test mode will be indicated by all status LED’s flashing ON and OFF in half-second intervals. If LED indicators do not display as described above, the sequence may not have been completed within 6 seconds. Repeat step 2 to ensure this was not the cause. This may have to be done repeatedly until you get used to the procedure enough to get it done in 6 seconds. Read More...
