  • Processes signals from sensors and the user interface to run cycles
  • Stores control logic and diagnostics to manage operation
  • Failure symptoms can include: won't start or power up, unresponsive or erratic controls, cycles that won't run or complete, persistent error codes
What's included: 1 electronic control board. Install notes:
  • Disconnect power and verify no voltage before servicing
  • Use ESD protection; handle the PCB by the edges to prevent damage
  • Note/photograph all wiring and connectors; transfer any brackets, jumpers, or guides from the original board
  • Some models require service-mode setup or programming after installation—refer to your unit's tech sheet or service manual

Questions & Answers

For Whirlpool Electronic Control Board (Part Number: OEM18095400)

1 Answer

Mike, You will want to test power to the drain pump when the unit is set to drain. If there is not 120 vac to the pump then check to make sure that the control board is sending power. If it is but the drain is not pumping then the issue will be with the wiring of the unit.

Bob, The key pad ribbon and connections have started to fail, you'll need to replace the control panel / key pad assembly WPW10459139. If "everything else works fine" it isn't the control board that's at fault.

Hello Kimberly. Either there is a stuck button on the control panel or the control board is bad. Look for a stuck button. If none is found, replace the board.

Larry for Model Number DU1010XTXQ1

Dear Sirs: Before taking a shot in the dark and buying a part I may not need I need your opinion. I have a Whirlpool Quiet Partner 1 Model # DU1010XTXQ1 that will not start in the normal way. The unit is 2 years old and has worked fine up until a few days ago when it would not start or in other words all the lights are on but nobody is home. So just for the hell of it, after I pressed the Start key I took the heel of my hand and bumped the panel up near the top by the control area and the unit started right up and did its thing completely, all cycles. Evidently, the jolt caused something to make contact. Anyway, this routine went on 3 more times except now it won’t start regardless. So I removed the panel to see if maybe the door switch was bad but I checked it with my volt meter’s continuity beep and it works fine when clicked on and off. So I reconnected the switch and held it in the ”on” position and then I took a screwdriver and used the handle to tap the plastic cover of the electronic control board a couple good raps and the unit started right up and filled with water. Then it went straight to the drain cycle and drained and continued to be stuck on drain until I pressed the Drain/Cancel key and turned the unit off. Does this sound like I need a new Electronic Control Circuit Board or ‘the Brain” or whatever the official term is. The part number on the unit is W10319897. Thanks

Darrem, The most likely cause for the unit to pause during cycle several times is a faulty control panel.

Steve, You'll want to replace the control panel / keypad assembly WPW10290155 first, The rinse keypad circuit is "stuck" causing the control to program the rinse cycle(fill wash for 2 minutes and drain). You'll still need to reset the control after you install the control panel, and allow it to run the complete test/diagnostic cycle. Thanks

Hi Jeff. It will be advantageous to find the supplied tech sheet inside the cabinet to aid you in the diagnosis. It allows you to put the unit in a diagnostic mode which brings up fault codes and tells you which circuit needs assistance. Unplug the control panel ribbon cable and see if the unit will run normally now. If so then you have a stuck keypad part # WPW10290157. If it is the control board then it is part # W10906414. Thank You.
