Hello Sarah, The Agitator collar would be located at the top of the transmission shaft. With the agitator shaft removed from the agitator you would push the shaft back down into transmission. Once it is fully seated you would push the collar onto the shaft at the top part of where the agitator shaft and transmission meet. Once you push into place the collar should clip in and stay. Check the first 2 digits of serial number because the collar is model specific. If the first 2 digits are 18 or higher you will have a collar. If not then the unit has a spring loaded clip that you just push the shaft back into the transmission to lock into place. The top part of transmission is the bearing housing.

Ed, Basically, it " snaps " ON and OFF the shaft and housing, just be careful and not break it. A small flat blade screwdriver comes in handy to help push or release the clip frpm the retainer grooves in the bearing housing and agitator shaft. Good Luck and Thanks
