Hello Anne, You would not want to splice a power cord to the orignal wiring for your unit. You would want to replace the power cord W10820044 with a manufacturers power cord.

Hello Bill. WX09X10002 is the 3 wire cord for the unit. You will remove the old 4 wire cord from the dryer. Then when installing the 3 wire cord, the center wire needs to go on the center terminal of the terminal block. It does not matter which wire on the out side goes to which terminal on the terminal block, as long as they are not on the center and that each wire goes to a single post of the block. Both post are 120 volts.

Hello Dixson. Red and black from the cord PT400L goes to the outside of the terminal block. Then white to the center and green to the ground screw. Hope this helps.
