I'm wondering if I have to buy the whole shelf (if so, what part is that) or if I can just purchase the plastic piece around it. If just the plastic piece, how is it put back on the glass?

For the bottom meat shelf, I have observed that the shelf studs/supports are 14.5" apart and fit the frame exactly, but on the interior side of the refrigerator, the distance is only 14.0" so the shelf frame can't be seated. I see that there is a frame (only) for half the price (does not include glass). Then in reading through other Q&A's, your folks state that the glass can't be inserted into a frame as it is one complete piece (for ~$85). Why is there an option to purchase a shelf frame if I can't even insert my existing glass plate? For two identical shelves breaking, this does not seem right that I need to replace multiple expensive (and identical) parts.
