Jenni July 01, 2011 for Model Number Kenmore 665-16032401 dishwasher I have had to set this dishwasher with each use, doing the normal wash, heat wash procedure and then the clean light comes on. I have to open it, push start and then the clean button to have the panel clear, so that I can choose a cycle. The cycle doesn't complete itself (gets things clean enough if I scrub them by hand) and then my dishes aren't dry either. When I open the door after partial cycle it is steamy but not hot. Is it the fuse or panel? What part should I replace? Thanks.
1 Answer Hello Jenni. You will need to test the heater W10518394 and the thermostat WP661566. They should read closed for continuity. If they are good, then it sounds like you will need to replace the control board WP8564547. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. Hope this helps.http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html Read More...

Van B. June 01, 2011 for Model Number 665.17059402 I have checked my thermostat it is closed. My thermo fuse checks closed. ( ap3178588 ) green light flashing. What else do I need to check?
1 Answer Hello Van. You will need to press heated dry, normal, heated dry, normal, within in 6 seconds with the dishwasher in stand by mode. The dishwasher will come on and run a short cycle, and will clear the code. Make sure you get the water hot at the sink, before starting the dishwasher to prevent this from happening. Charles May 30, 2011 for Model Number KitchenAid KUDS01DL dishwasher I have no power to the dishwasher. I've check the power where it plugs in and the house breaker and no luck. From what I'm reading on the internet, it sounds like the thermal fuse has blown. I've taken off the front cover of the dishwasher and am looking at (at least what I think is) the control panel. I don't see anything that looks like your picture of the fuse. Do you have any pictures of where the fuse is located on the panel?
1 Answer Hello Charles. The fuse is located on the control board. If it is bad, you will need to replace the fuse 8193762 and the wires that goes with it. Here ia a link to the parts diagram page. It is #6 in the diagram. Hope this helps. http://www.appliancepartspros.com/partsearch/model.aspx?model_id=5139120&diagram_id=28248610 Read More...
Jeff May 05, 2011 for Model Number 665.17032401 My fuse is definately bad. It has PN 8269213 printed on it. I see where AP3178588 is the replacement fuse. I read where it is saying to replace the wires that come with it also. Mine only has the plug at the fuse. The other ends of the wires are hard wired to the harness. Am I looking at the correct replacement part? Should I replace just the fuse or cut the wires? Should I go ahead and inspect the heater circut. How do I determine the water temperature setting? Thanks, Jeff
1 Answer Hello Jeff. You will need to cut the wires and splice in the new wire harness supplied with the fues kit. If you do not, the new fuse will blow. The heater and everything else should be fine. Hope this helps. Read More...

Ray April 12, 2011 for Model Number KUDM01TJBT0 Do you have to cut the wires as it states on fuse kit (AP3178588)or can the fuse just be removed from kit and then replace the old one without having to cut the wires? Seems to me that would be the esiest way unless there's some I'm missing. thx!
1 Answer Hello Ray. You will need to replace the wires like it says to do. If you do not, the fuse will blow again soon. Hope this helps. Read More...

Chris March 20, 2011 for Model Number KUDSO1FLSS3. i keep blowing this fuse... like every 25 washes. is there a defective part i need to buy that is causing this fuse to blow regularly?i'd rather pay up to replace what is causing the issue. thanks
1 Answer Hello Chris.I would check the heater circuit on this and the thermostat. If ok, try raising the water temperature to at least 130 degrees. For some reason, if the water temp. is too low,the heater will come on at the worst current draw time and blow the fuse. Here is a link to the repair forum from somebody who had a similar problem.
