David K. December 06, 2014 for Model Number kudp02crbs1 I have received the replacement soap dispenser W10224430, but electrical connector is different. The original dispenser had tab connectors, but this one has a plug in unit. Can you supply a male connector?
1 Answer Hello David, You will just need to plug the two wires in individually. The polarity of the connection does not matter so you can connect the wires two wires in either location and it will operate the same. If you need the spade connectors for the end of the wires you can order TJMA02875-1. Read More...
Don November 14, 2014 for Model Number KUDS03STSSO I purchased part number W10195172 to replace our malfunctioning dispenser. (the latch has worn form the old one so it will not stay shut any longer). How do I remove the old dispenser from the door and does the front come off the dispenser to access the screws to remove the dispenser? If it does, how do I remove the cover without breaking the solenoid operated latch?
1 Answer Hello Don, You will need to remove the door liner to access the six screws that retain it to the inside of the liner. Read More...
John M. October 09, 2014 for Model Number KUDI02CRBS1 The door that opens to release the dish washing detergent is not opening like it should, when we run the dishwasher. What would cause this and what do I need to do to correct the problem. Thank you for your help
1 Answer Hello John, If the unit is not being loaded where anything is in the way of the detergent door during the units' operation, you can test the voltage to the detergent door at the appropriate time by the tech sheet. If voltage is getting there, replace the detergent dispenser assembly WPW10224430. If not, replace the control board WPW10084141. Read More...
Melanie B. September 08, 2014 for Model Number KUDS02FRSS0 I know this part is only sold as an assembly but is it possible to order just the pin that holds the detergent door in place?

Chris September 01, 2014 for Model Number KUDI02CRBS3 I would like to order just the detergent door, as only the plastic nub to keep it shut is broken. Is this possible?

Alan March 22, 2014 for Model Number KUDP02SRBT2 Interestingly, this dispenser can be mounted in two positions in the door frame 180 degrees rotated from each other. The drawing shows the dispenser door opening from the bottom and "flipping" up to dispense the detergent when the door is in a closed position. I assume this is the correct position? Also, the parts diagram shows a different orientation for the solenoid on the Kitchenaid part than on the whirlpool 10224430, although I doubt this makes a difference.
1 Answer Alan, Yes the orientation of the dispenser is where the dispenser door will flip upward when it opens. The location of the solenoid will have no effect on operation of the unit. Read More...

Chu V. October 06, 2013 for Model Number Kuds02frss3 After replacing the control panel, the previously malfunctioning buttons now work, but the detergent dispenser still won't release. The latch works fine manually and there is no hardened detergent in the cup. I am guessing the problem may be with the wax motor or the solenoid. Do I have to buy a new dispenser to replace these 2 things, or are they sold separately?
1 Answer Chu, Yes, you will need to order the dispenser assembly WPW10224430 in order to replace the solenoid, the component is sold as a single unit. Before you replace the dispenser, check and make sure there are no loose or crossed wires, from when you replaced the control panel. Read More...
