Robert April 03, 2013 for Model Number KitchenAid Dishwasher Model #KUDI02IRBT When I fill my rinse-aid dispenser on the dishwasher it only lasts for two or three loads then needs to be filled again. The dishes do not seem to be drying properly now. Any suggestions?
1 Answer Robert, You will want to make sure that the rinse aid cap WP8564929 is properly in place and you will want to take the screws out of the inner door panel and check to make sure that the reservoir is not leaking. If leaking then you will need to replace the dispenser WPW10224430. Read More...
Joe March 25, 2013 for Model Number kudp02frss0 The soap dispenser will not latch closed. This issue has become worse over time. I've cleaned the latch and door but it does not appear to catch enough. The door just springs back open. The catch seems very small or could it be related to the door switch. I noticed newer models appear to have a much better latching/dispenser. Would any of these work on this unit?
1 Answer Hello Joe, The only dispenser that will work on this model is WPW10224430. Changing the dispenser assembly would be the only fix for this condition. Read More...
Dale February 07, 2013 for Model Number KUDS02FRSS1 The dishwasher does not wash clean. Most of the time I see the detergent spilled on the door panel after a wash cycle. Do you think replaceing the dispencer solves the problem? thanks
1 Answer Hello Dale. You need to check and make sure the water is filling properly and to the bottom of the heater in the unit. It sounds like the water is low and you need to replace the water valve on the unit if it is low. Read More...

1 Answer Hello Dan. If the board and the dispenser is new, you may need to replace the wiring harness to repair the dispenser not working in the unit. Read More...
David July 24, 2012 for Model Number KUDL02IRBSI Just want to be sure the part shown above (your item number AP4434598) will fit my KitchenAid dishwasher? It certainly looks like the one I currently have. If it's the same, I'm ready to order. Thanks!
1 Answer David, I believe your model number should read KUDL02IRBS1 (1 instead of an I at the end of the model). Yes, the dispenser WPW10224430 is the correct replacement and will fit your model. Thanks! Read More...
David February 23, 2012 for Model Number kudw02frss1 My soap dispenser stopped opening. The solenoid coil melted, resistance 3.2 ohms. Found TR4 on controller visibly damaged, resistance check of dispenser wire was good. I replaced dispenser and controller. Worked for approximately 2 weeks and now the dispenser coil has again melted, resistance 5.2 ohms. Any advise on additional checks or known issues regarding this failure would be appreciated. Thanks David
1 Answer Hello David. Two things to check. I would first go to the electrical connections to the unit and insure the wire nuts are tight to prevent an increase in current flow. The other is to check the wiring harness to insure it isn't "melted" into the door liner noise suppression material. If both of these check out good, the parts all have a 1 year warranty and can be exchanged for you no problem. It is possible to have a new defective part from the manufacturer. Please let me know if I can assist you futher. Read More...
Fred February 20, 2012 for Model Number KUDP02CRBS2 I need just the gasket for W10224430 soap dispenser.
1 Answer Fred, the manufacturer does not offer the gasket separate from the dispenser WPW10224430. Sorry about that! Read More...
Tom January 02, 2012 for Model Number KUDP02CRBS2 Soap dispenser door will not open during any cycle. No obstructions, have run empty Anyway to troubleshoot?
1 Answer Tom, You'll need to separate the inner door liner from the outer door liner and disconnect the two wires from the solenoid. With a multi meter you would want to check for 800 to 1000 ohms resistance acroos the two terminals, if you have the resistance, the actuator should be OK, and you'll have to conduct the diagnosis or board output test, and check for 120 vac across the two wires to the actuator, to determine if you have a loose , broken wire or faulty control board WPW10084141. You have check for a detergent or deposit build up in the latch area of the detergent cup, correct. You'll find the tech data sheet, attached to the backside of the kickplate/lower access panel, and can run the tests. Thanks and Good Luck Read More...
Tom July 12, 2011 for Model Number Kitchen Aid KUDK 02 CRBS0 HOW TO TEST the RELAY?, WHAT VOLTAGE TRIGGERS THE DOOR TO OPEN? wires back to the board read 14.88 Mohms...while the coil on the door seems to have been hot, melted white insulation, 0 ohms etc.. DOES THIS TYPE OF COIL failure normally damage the controller board??? Thank..
1 Answer Tom, there is no relay to test, other than the pilot relay on the control board. To test the dispenser "wax motor", remove the wires and check for 250 to 350 ohms resistance across the terminals on the wax motor. The next test you would want to do is a live voltage test. Reattach the wires to the switch, program a test cycle or short wash cycle, and check for 120 VAC across the wires on the wax motor at the appropriate time.At the main control board: P11 pin 8 is L1 out to the wax motor and P11 pin 10 is N to the wax motor and should have 120 VAC across the the pins when it's time for the dispenser to open, if the control board is OK. Yes, a defective wax motor can short the dispenser circuit, but it's not a very common occurrence. Thanks and Good Luck. Read More...
1 Answer Hello Eleanor! Unforuntately, the manufacturer is only supplying the dispenser as a complete assembly with no parts available separate. You will need a new dispenser assembly part number WPW10224430. Thanks! Read More...
