Carol May 06, 2014 for Model Number MAH550BWW why is the door having to be pushed hard to latch just started happening. If it is not latch it makes a noise and washing machine doesn't work until you push on top on door to make it latch
1 Answer Carol, Check to make sure that the door hinges are not loose or warped which would cause the door to sag. If the door is sagging this could create the issue. If this checks ok then most likely there is a problem with the door latch assembly. Read More...
M&M August 12, 2013 for Model Number MAH5500BWW For some reason, the inside door panel of our washing machine now has holes and water leaks at the bottom. We would like to replace the inner door panel with part number 22003275 but should we fix first what is causing the hole? Do you know what that may be? Any suggestions? My concern is if we don't fix the root cause of the problem, it might just create a new hole on the inner door panel after we have replaced it. Do you have instructions on replacing the inner door panel?
1 Answer Hello M&M. Most of these are caused by rubber shoes or rubber backed rugs being washed in the washer. It had to have something rubbing against the door liner. Read More...
Randy June 13, 2013 for Model Number MAH7500AWW My inner door has a hole worn through it and appears to be caused by the tub spinning. Is there a fix so the tub can no longer reach the inner panel? If not I may just get rid of the washer in favor of a new one. Thanks!
1 Answer Hello Randy. WP22003275 is the inner panel. If bearings are bad, you will need to replace the inner basket and outer tub assembly. Read More...

Patti November 07, 2012 for Model Number Maa5500bww serial 69762129zh it part #22004435 or 22003275 How do I replace this washing machine lock? And is it part# 22004435 or 22003275?
1 Answer Hello Patti, To replace latch assembly WP22003593, you would need to: Open the door and remove the 4 screws that are around the lip of the door opening and remove door. You then want to remove front panel by twisting the right and left panel extensions inward by pressing outer upper edge of the front panel posts. This will disengage panel from clips located on the face of the cabinet flange. You then tilt the top of the front panel away from the washer and remove panel. Once panel is removed there are 2 5/16" screws on either side under the top on the cabinet front. Remove these screws and brackets. You can then lift the top to access the lock assembly. Read More...
Jb August 17, 2012 for Model Number MAH6500AWW I am looking to replace the inner door panel. I got all the things done except for the door clips that hold the inner and front door panels together. How do I pull the clips off the old panel so that I can reuse them with the new panel?
1 Answer JB, These should be the clips we're discussing 22002038. To remove them from the inside of the door liner, you will need to pry them off the mounting tabs using a small flat blade screwdriver or awl. You will want to use the handle of a screwdriver, and tap them into position on the new liner, but be careful. Thanks Read More...
Rita September 24, 2011 for Model Number MAH5500BWW SSN A2997480CJ - The inner door panel on the washer has rubbed somewhere inside and rubbed a hole (water leaks on floor). It appears this may have been defective, but, nevertheless, it needs to be replaced. When I look at the Inner Door Panel #AP4026881, it doesn't look like our inner door panel. Ours has (vent?) holes at the top on each side with a latch in the top center. The one in the diagram doesn't appear to be the same. Please help.
1 Answer Hello Rita! The inner door panel on your model/serial is part number WP22003275. There are two different views available of this part on our website, you can click on the second view for a better picture. This picture has what you are describing as your door. Thanks! Read More...
1 Answer Hello Jerry. Here are the instructions from the manufactre. Hope this helps. REMOVAL 1. Open the door and remove the center screw of each hinge secured to the inner flange of the front panel in the door opening. 2. Grasp the door with both hands and lift the hinge area slightly. Draw the door assembly away from the machine. This will disengage the hinges from the slots in the front shroud. If the hinges bind, press out on the plastic shroud near the hinge toward the cabinet. REVERSAL 1. Repeat the above steps and, remove the corresponding sheet metal spacers on the opposite side. 2. Remove the hinges from the door and relocate them to the other side of the door. 3. Remount the door into the new slots and secure with one screw into each hinge. 4. Mount the sheet metal spacers onto the side where the hinges were previously to cover the hinge slots in the front shroud. DISASSEMBLY 1. Remove ten screws located across the bottom and along either side of the door panel. The top edge of the outer panel is folded over the inner door plug. 2. With the outer door panel removed, the stabilizer is exposed and is attached to the inner door plug. Door Latch Hoop The door latch hoop is snapped into the door liner. A spring retains the hoop in the proper position to align with the door lock mechanism when the door is closed. A plastic support is snapped into place over the latch hoop at add strength. FRONT PANEL REMOVAL 1. Disconnect power to the unit. 2. Open the door and remove the four screws along the inside lip of the door opening. The two that are located vertically, on either side of the door opening, secure the front panel to the front shroud assembly. Care should be taken when opening and closing the door with the screws removed. 3. Remove the door. 4. To remove the front panel, open the door, twist the upper right and left panel extensions inward by pressing in on the outer upper edges of the front panel posts. This will disengage the front panel posts from clips located on the face of the cabinet flange. 5. Tilt the top of the front panel away from the washer. Then, remove the front panel. Read More...
