Jill December 18, 2012 for Model Number GEW9250PWO My duet dryer GEW 9250PWO gets stuck at the end of a cycle and won't turn back on. The "Control Lock" button stays lit. A repair guy from Whirlpool said he thought problem was the control board so I ordered one from you but that did not solve my problem. Occasionally the dryer works but it is unpredictable and often leads me with wet clothes. I am not sure what to try next - a new door latch or a new control panel.
1 Answer Hello Jill. If the control lock is the issue, you have ordered the wrong board for the unit. You should have ordered part number WP8558756 for the unit. Read More...

Whirlpool Owner May 28, 2012 for Model Number lg7681xsw2 How hard it is to change the door latch mechanism on my dryer? It looks like I'd have to take off the whole front to do that. Am I correct?
1 Answer Hello. You can actually use an icepick and dig the old catches out of the front panel. This takes some time and you will need to be careful not to scratch the unit. Once the pick is behind the catch, you press the sides and unsnap it from the front panel. Then install the new kit 279570. You will need to remove the panel if you can not replace the catch this way. Read More...
