Dock, Yes, the door switch assembly for the model number you supplied is WP3406107. You'll need to remove power to the dryer, remove the two(2) screws under the lint filter door. Using a putty knife or other flat blade tool, release the hidden hold down clips located in the seam between the top and front panel, and raise and prop up the top. With the door open, you'll need to remove the two(2) small Phillips head screws that secure the switch to the front panel door opening.

Hello mr hard steelwater. Yes, but the light inside the dryer will not work if you do so. If your model does not have a light, then the 2 wire is all you need.

Hello Gregg, Most of these are raised with a paint scraper/putty knife. There are clips about three inches from the sides under the front of the main top. When depressed, you will be able to raise the top. Be sure the unit is dis-connected from its' power supply before raising the main top to prevent an electrical shock.

Tom for Model Number 110 62972101

Hello, I have a Kenmore electric dryer that I am trying to replace the safety latch on because currently the dryer continues to spin even with the door Open! I ordered the latch from you and watched the video. I am unable to pry open the top of the dryer. It looks like I do not have the locking tabs 2inches in from the corner to unlock the top. Can you please send me some step by step instuctions for my dryer? It is a front loader with the lint screen in the bottom of the door. Thanks for the help! - Tom

Tom, The 2 clips on either side are spring clips that you would use a flat blade and push in on to release the main top.

Hello Red. Without testing the dryer door switch, there is no way to tell if it is good or bad on the unit. Sorry.
