The Drain Hose is an OEM part for Whirlpool washing machines. It is responsible for directing and carrying away water that is pumped out of the washer tub during drain cycles. The drain hose connects from the bottom of the washtub to the household plumbing or out the back of the machine. This washer drain hose includes the retaining clips to hold in place.

Causes of a bad drain hose can include mineral deposits from hard water building up inside the hose, cracking from flexing during use, rodent damage, or general degradation from years of service.

Symptoms of a faulty drain hose include:

  • Water not completely draining from the washer tub after cycles
  • Puddles or flooding under the appliance
  • Strange noises or vibrations during drainage

This part is also compatible with Maytag, KitchenAid, Jenn-Air, Amana, Magic Chef, Admiral, Norge, Roper, and some Kenmore models.

Questions & Answers

For Whirlpool Drain Hose (Part Number: OEM18044943)

Sylvia Abbott for Model Number kenmore 02641379 3.7-cu ft steam washer

How long are the cold and hot water hoses that come with the washer? I need at least 9 or 10 foot hoses, as i'm wanting to install the new set in my garage, and run from vent window in cellar. I do not want to put spigots in the garage, that is an expensive plumbing job, as copper is out of site on pricing. I will also need the drain hose to go from the new washer into the drain located in the cellar. Thank you

Michael for Model Number CAWS833SQ0

I have a Crosley top load washer CAWS833SQ0 where the external drain hose is missing a quarter of it at the end that fits into the drain pipe. Will this hose work? Will I need to replace the connector that the hose passes through as it seems the hose is all one piece or does that connector unsnap apart for the new hose to pass through it then snap back together? I have not taken the hose apart yet so I'd like to know before ordering anything. Thanks!

Hello! If you have the drain hose going into a standpipe make sure it is loose enough to provide a gap for air and that the hose does not exceed more than 6-8 inches into the pipe. The drain hose with a check valve is part number 131210200. This hose is 7' long. Thanks.
