Sam June 16, 2016 for Model Number LER3624EQ1 Dryer stopped heating..replaced element since it was cracked n burnt looking but its still not heating..do I need to buy the cutoff and thermal kit or just the thermostat?or could it be something else?
1 Answer Hello Sam. Check and make sure you have 240 volts coming to the dryer. Check and make sure the unit is not set to Air Fluff. Also check the heater and thermostats and see if they are good. You can test these with a multi-meter MA-DM1. They should read closed for continuity. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html Read More...
Dave June 09, 2016 for Model Number LE5700XKW0 Whirlpool Dryer LE5700XKW0 Not heating.... My situation is that the 2 wire connectors, on the Thermal Cut-Off dont have any wires connected to them. Im guessing the last repair tech decided he didnt want to connect them. Furthermore I cant seem to find them in the bulk of the wiring harness, no black tape or splice is visible. I need instructions for properly integrating the Thermal Cut-Off in to the rest of the electrical system within the dryer. i.e. the top connector goes to ''x'' and the bottom connector should be wired to ''y'' etc. I tested the Thermal Cut-Off with multimeter, found there is continuity, also tested Thermal Fuse and high-level thermostat for continuity and also got positive results. I went ahead and removed the heating element as a troubleshooting precaution to account for possible grounding issues between the heating element and metal housing, then proceded to test for abnormal resistance levels. Re-installed the heating element and tested once more for resistance with no significant chance in resistance readings. So as you can see I am aiming to thoroughly troubleshoot my problem, I would like to integrate the Thermal Cut-Off before moving on to the motor etc. Unless, the lack of a Thermal Cut-Off isn't necessarily causing the dryer to malfuntion. Thanks In Advvance.
1 Answer Hello Dave. It does not matter which wire goes where on this part. It is a closed circuit. Read More...
Brandon June 03, 2016 for Model Number WED4900XW0 My dryer was heating up but not spinning. I opened it up and saw the belt was fine. I bought a new motor and just installed it. It's still having the same problem. I was reading and saw it could be the thermal fuse. Should this be the next part I replace?
1 Answer Brandon, You will want to check to see if the units drum will spin by hand. If you are unable to turn the drum by hand then you will want to check the rollers to make sure that they are spinning freely. This is the most likely cause for the issue. Read More...

Chris May 10, 2016 for Model Number LET6638DQ1 Hi I have a whirlpool dryer and it continuously blows the hi-limit (upper) fuse and melts the wire slightly. I've replaced about 5-8 kits I've cleaned the lint trap with soap and water and I've vacuumed the whole thing out. I'm thinking the motor might be going out and drawing too much current making the fuse blow. I'm stumped and need an experts advice.
1 Answer Hello Chris. Either the venting is bad or the cycling thermostat is letting it get to hot. You will want to check both on the unit. Read More...
