Tc July 01, 2014 for Model Number Whirlpool ET25DM Hello my freezer is working fine however my fidge is not cooling at all. Is this what I will need? Thank you.
1 Answer TC, Possibly, A quick easy test, open the freezer door, can you hear the fan motor running, and /or feel the air from the fan being blown out towards you, if so, the fan motor is fine, as long as there's no frost or ice built up on the freezer back wall. You'll have to check the air diffuser 2157253 located in the back of the refrigerator compartment in the center of the ceiling. This allows the air to circulate into the refrigerator. If it is clogged with ice or broken, the refrigerator won't cool properly. Read More...
Jill B. May 05, 2014 for Model Number Kenmore Trio fridge 59675504400 Will this evaporator fan motor fit my fridge? I'm hoping it's what I need. The freezer works, but upper fridge part is not cooling off. Thanks!!
1 Answer Hello Jill. No, 12002744 is the evaporator fan motor for your model. If the motor is not running and there is power to it, you will need to replace the fan motor. Read More...
Barry April 23, 2014 for Model Number RT12DKXEW00 I just replaced the evaporator motor and the refrigerator still doesnt get cold. I checked the damper and it's open but the fan doesn't seem to push enough air. Is the motor 110 volt or could it be hooked up backwards?
1 Answer Hello Barry, The fan motor 482731 on the model you listed is an ac driven motor. Hooking it up backwards will have no ill effect on the motors' operation. You should make sure the fan blade hasn't been put on the motor shaft backwards as this will slow the air circulation. You also need to make sure the air control knob is properly attached at both ends. If the tab on either end is broken, the air control adjustment will be completely ineffective. Read More...

James September 26, 2013 for Model Number EB19MK1LNRO I am trying to find a fan motor assembly for a Whirlpool Mark Series refrigerator. Is it still available?
Jim June 22, 2013 for Model Number Whirlpool side by side Is the evaporator motor supposed to run continuously? Mine is getting noisy and never turns off. Coils were iced up, measured the heating coil and it is not open (24ohms roughly). Fridge and freezer are both cooling.
1 Answer Jim, The evaporator fan motor will run constantly if the unit temp is not getting to where it should. Since the coils were clogged you will want to check the defrost thermostat as well to make sure that it is not reading open. It should have continuity when closed. If both the heater and the thermostat check ok then you will need to replace the timer. Read More...
Antonio W. February 13, 2013 for Model Number Kitchenaid Model# KSRL25FRSS00; Serial# 221040346 Freezer compartment fan is not turning, it is energized has power to it however it does not turn freely when energized. Kill the power and it turns freely. I'm assuming its a bad motor. Your thoughts
1 Answer Hello Antonio. Check and see if there is power coming to the fan motor in the unit. If so, and the unit does not work, you will need to order and replace the fan motor on the unit. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html Read More...
