Scott November 18, 2019 for Model Number RF368LXPQ0 Everything works but. When you use the oven the top element that’s in the oven it will not shut off. It just keeps heating. And then get an error code f3e2. Replaced the temp probe. Same problem.
1 Answer Scott, the wires going to the oven elements ( broil element W10856603 and bake element WPW10308477 ) will need to be tested for continuity to the chassis by accessing the back, connecting one probe to the chassis, the other probe would be tested to each of the element's terminals as well as the wires. If the terminals on the element test continuity to ground, the element would need to be replaced. If either of the wires tests continuity to ground, the wire will need to be traced to the point of failure. If these check good, then the most likely failure is going to be the main control WP6610457 relay not opening. Read More...
Robert September 02, 2016 for Model Number RF369LXPQ1 The burners work the oven does not and the clock area has a red light that keeps pulsing on and off.
1 Answer Robert, This issue would be most likely caused by a faulty control board which is part number WP6610457. Read More...
Chris March 25, 2015 for Model Number 3186173 The oven temperature goes over the placed setting. What could be causing this? Is there a specific part that could be broken? If so, what part and is it possible to replace it?
1 Answer Chris, We would need to have the model number to get the part number for you but if the unit has an oven sensor then this would most likely be the cause for overtemp. Read More...
Bob January 14, 2014 for Model Number RF368LXKQ1 I pulled my oven out to clean behind it and unplugged it. Ever since then it has been going out and to PF frequently. Everything works but then stops and starts again. Is there a thermal fuse or is this the control panel?
1 Answer Hello Bob. It sounds like a wiring connection inside the unit is loose and needs to be tightened down. If all are good, replace the control on the unit. Read More...
Dan March 03, 2013 for Model Number RF370LXPT2 My whirlpool electric range's control board died during self-cleaning mode; no lights on the control board and door is locked. Stove top still heats/turns on. Is this a thermal fuse problem or does the entire control board need to be replaced? RF370LXPT2
1 Answer Hello Dan. Test and see if there is power coming to the control WP6610457 on the unit. If so, you will need to order and replace the control on the unit. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html Read More...
Eugene A December 08, 2012 for Model Number RF368LXMQ0 I started to change the oven control board but the back of the new board is different than the old board. Your company says this is the correct part. That it has been updated. All the plugs are clearly marked expect the plug where the two big red wires go. The old board has a big black unmarked square box where two big red wires are plugged. The new box has a small rectangle orange box that is completely different than the old black box. I am confessed where the two red wires should go on the new board. Does the left one go on L2 and The right one on DLB? Please help. Eugene
1 Answer Hello Eugene, Yes that is accurate. You would put one red to the L2 and the other to DBL. Read More...
Mike October 28, 2012 for Model Number RF369LXPQ Hello, my Bake button and my temp/clock "up" button don't work. The oven will not come on, nor can I set the clock with the "up", only down. Self-clean works. I have taken apart control panel and cleaned the tactile switches with contact cleaner, had intermittent working condition, but now back to point one. Does this sound like a switch condition, or should I look elsewhere? I really don't have budget to replace entire panel. thanks, Mike
1 Answer Mike, Unfortunately, you have done all you can do. You'll need to replace the ERC WP6610457 to solve the programming issue in your range. Thanks Read More...
Cody E.H. G April 26, 2012 for Model Number RF364PXPQ 1 Oven bake and broil heats up, but will not hold or reach set temperature; oven sensor has been replaced but still having the same problem; is there a separate oven temperature switch or does the entire control board have to be replaced?
1 Answer Cody, Are you sure there are 220-240 VAC at the terminal block, when the bake mode and temperature are selected ? If the voltage is proper, yes, you'll need a new control WP6610457, there is no separate switch for the oven temperature. Thanks and Good Luck Read More...
Robert R. March 22, 2012 for Model Number RF365PXMQ Burners work, oven does not control panel has error code FOEO. How do I reset clock so oven will work?
1 Answer Hello Robert. Based on the information you provided, it sounds like the range control WP6610457 is bad and will need to be replaced. Hope this helps. Read More...
Mars January 20, 2012 for Model Number RF378LXPQ1 I'm at the end of my rope. I've got an oven that does not heat to 350 during the normal pre-heat time (6 minutes). There are no error codes. I've attempted to replace the oven sensor and this control board with no change. I've changed both broil and bake elements (old sensor and control board)...no change. Is there anything else a DIYer can do to fix this? I've seen checking the voltage at the elements to see if they're at 220-240VAC, but am drawing a blank as to what to check across (ground to one side of element terminal?) Let's just assume facts not in evidence and say it's not at 240VAC as it should be, is that some sort of relay or fuse that can be replaced? Please help. Thanks.
1 Answer Hello Mars. You will test from one side of the element to the other side of the element. Do not test to ground. You should have 240 volts. If not, you will need to test from the control and see where you are loosing the voltage at. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. Hope this helps. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html Read More...
