This white control panel is the front fascia for select ranges. It mounts to the console/backguard and supports the oven control and switches, restoring a clean, secure control area when the original panel is cracked, warped, or discolored.

  • Provides the finished front surface for the console/backguard
  • Supports and aligns the oven control and switch/selector components
  • Helps keep buttons/knobs properly seated and labeled
  • Typical symptoms: cracks, broken mounting tabs, bowing/warping, heavy discoloration, or controls that feel loose
Install notes:
  • Disconnect power at the breaker before servicing
  • Remove console/backguard screws and carefully lift off the existing panel
  • Transfer the electronic control, switches/knobs, brackets, and hardware to the new panel
  • Support the control board and wiring to avoid strain; reassemble and restore power

Greg, Are you sure there knobs are moving on thier own ? The burner switches are a basic infinite switch, the only way they should move is to manually turn them, yourself. If they were on the panel between the oven and the cooktop, like some units, I would think someone was bumping into them. The other possibility, would be grease and debris getting into/ onto the shaft mechanism on the switch. You may want to unplug the power cord or turn the power off to the range, remove the burner knobs, and clean the switch shafts with a hot damp soapy cloth or de greasing solution, and let the moisture evaporate before you restore power to the range. Otherwise you'll need to replace the affected switches. Good Luck and Thanks

Greg, You are discussing the cooktop element burners aren't you ? The burners do react slower, especially if you're not used to an electric range. The element gets hot, the heat transfers to the utensil, the utensil transfers the heat to the contents. After all the transfers, it would seem like the elements are cycling too slow, and causing more heat than expected. As long as the element cycles off and on, in a medium setting on the knob, chances are all's OK. Good Luck and Thanks

Hello Deborah! Make sure you are getting the proper 240 volts to the appliance. Is the broil element working? If the broil element is not working as well as the bake, you will need the range control WP6610457. If the bake element only is not working and the broil is working, it is possible you will only need a bake element WPW10308477. Hope this helps!
