Boyd O. August 09, 2011 for Model Number acq128xpo I have noticed the fan has not been sounding right and the other day it completely quit. I can hear the compressor cut on but no air comes out. The repair man told me it needed a new motor. He said just to get the part it would be $225. Is this the part Ii need Part Number: AP3775632. Made by Whirlpool . Happy Camper June 01, 2011 for Model Number ACQ128XPO MY air condioner would not start up today,,all it does is HUM. I tried spinning the fan,,but it would not spin,,,could the motor be froze up??. And can the motor be unfrozen ,,if I remove it from the unit??. Please let me know. Thank You Happy Camper :)
1 Answer Hello, yes you should be able to dismount the motor and try spraying something like "WD40" down the motor shaft to see if you can unlock it. If this works, it will be temporarily. You will at some point have to replace the motor 1187769. Thanks! Read More...
