Mike April 23, 2012 for Model Number KCDC250X1 (KitchenAid Disposal) Are you saying that the splash guard can be replaced by simply pulling the old one up and inserting the new one? In effect nothing has to be taken apart?
1 Answer Mike, Yes, it should be that simple and easy. "It may be as high as a 1, Make sure the disposal switch is off, reach into the center opening, Grasp the flaps and pull straight up and out. Insert the new guard ( you can use some liquid soap as a lubricant) In the opening and press down on the guard until it reaches the bottom of the opening and rests on the retension ring in the metal case." Roger March 30, 2012 for Model Number kcdb250s1 what new parts are nneded to transfere disposal to new sink
1 Answer Roger, If you did it properly, no new parts are needed, You will want to wash the tailpipe seal in warm/hot water, to clean it uop and get a tight seal. You, also want to use new "plumbers putty" when you install the sink flange to the new sink, Just be careful and don't damage or loose any parts and you'll do fine. Good Luck and Thanks Read More...
