Star H April 06, 2012 for Model Number MAC - MFD2561HEW If pulling the tubes does not detach the tubes from the back of the refrigirator, what else can I do to get the tubes out?
1 Answer Hello Star. Turn the water off and remove the water line from the wall coming to the unit. Then press in on the john gussit fitting on the valve and release the other water line from the water valve. Once removed, you will remove the foam piece where the water lines enter the cabinet at the top of the unit. Open the fresh food door and unsnap the head from the housing and pull the lines out of the unit. Install the new filter head WP67004106 in reverse order. Hope this helps. Read More...
Graham March 20, 2012 for Model Number MFD2561HEW An answer to the water head AP4080076 makes the installation seem straight forward however since the head goes into the inside of the refrigerator unit does it need some form of sealant or screws to attach. What do you need to look out for so that errors are not made during installation. I am very handy however I have not done this before and what you do not know can come back to haunt you.
1 Answer Hello Graham. The filter head WP67004106 snaps and locks into the filter housing. You will push the lis out the back of the unit and snap the head into place. Hope this helps. Read More...

Bryant January 19, 2012 Fridge has been in storage 3 yrs, never had a water filter in it. Noticed today when I hooked the water supply up, there was a slow leak from the blue bypass cap where the filter goes. Unscrewed the bypass cap, installed filter, and it leaked badly. Took filter off, replaced O rings, it didn't help. Removed filter, replaced blue bypass cap, now that leaks as bad as the filter. Any suggestions?

Al January 12, 2012 for Model Number Amana Fridge again You didn't answer the first part of the question: Why the big difference in the price they quoted for the part. Also, You said my housing is bad and needs replacing, not the filter head. Are they different items or the same thing? Housing? or Head? I'm confused.

Al January 12, 2012 for Model Number Amana Model #ASD2620HRZ I was quoted $169.95 for the water filter head and he told me the part number was #67004106. Your part number is different but the photo looks right. Why the discrepancy with the price? Is he trying to rip me off? My problem is the blue by pass cap works fine but when a filter is in place, it works only for a few seconds and then the water trickles to a drip. I have replaced the filter twice with no change. The repairman said I need a new filter head. Is he correct?
1 Answer Hello AL. Our filter head WP67004106 is the same as the part number you provided. It sounds like the housing is bad and will need to be replaced. Hope this helps. Read More...
