Hello Jason! Once you've removed power to the dryer you will need to release the clips holding the toe panel in place.. The element is behind the toe panel under the drum on the right side. You'll need to disconnect the wires to the heater element terminal block. Remove the 1/4" hex head screw holding the bracket / shield to the base of the dryer and the 1/4" hex head screw holding the heater box bottom panel to the bracket, and remove the bracket/shield assembly. Remove the 1/4" hex-head screw from the side of the heater housing (located between the element terminal block and the hi limit thermostat), and slide the heater out of the duct. Reverse the procedure to install the new heater assembly.

Denise, We wouldn't expect the fuse or the thermistor to be an issue. but you do need to check the wiring and the wiring terminals, make sure they fit tight when you install them onto the element terminals. You also need to check the exhaust vent pipes and vent hood and the blower and lint filter housings, excess heat due to improper air flow can create a "weak" spot in the heater element.

Mike, You will want to check the venting of the unit to make sure that it is not clogged or restricted. A clogged or restricted vent will cause the issue you are having and longer drying cycles.
