The Water Level Pressure Switch Hose is an OEM replacement part for Whirlpool washing machines. This hose connects to the water level pressure switch, transmitting pressure changes as the tub fills and drains. It ensures the washing machine accurately gauges the water level, preventing overfilling or insufficient water during cycles.

Causes for a malfunctioning Water Level Pressure Switch Hose can include clogs, kinks, or wear and tear over time that affects its ability to transmit pressure changes effectively.

Symptoms of a bad Water Level Pressure Switch Hose include:

  • The washing machine overfilling or not filling enough
  • Inaccurate water level readings leading to inefficient wash cycles
  • Water not draining properly, indicating a pressure transmission issue
  • Visible damage or wear to the hose

This OEM part is also compatible with Maytag, KitchenAid, Jenn-Air, Amana, Magic Chef, Admiral, Norge, Roper, and Kenmore models.

For Whirlpool Water Level Pressure Switch Hose (Part Number: OEM18044127)

Frank for Model Number WFW8400TW03

Hi, I have a problem with the F20 code coming on at the end of the wash cycle. I usually use the quick wash with small loads and it runs all the way through rinse until it gets to spin and at that point the F20 comes on. It doesn't come on all the time, its intermitting. I put it on clean wash and some water comes into the drum and as soon as it starts to agitate the F20 comes on all the time. I cleaned out the pump filter and the pump seems to work fine, I also disconnected the inlet hoses and cleaned the inlet screens and the water pressure seems fine. Please let me know what you recommend. thanks for your help Frank.

Hello Frank, the rinse fill is a higher level then wash fil also it is only cold water, the code says the control board did not see the washer reach the correct water level in the allowed time, this is typical of a clogged water inlet valve on the cold side, the valve is part WP8540751.

Hello Robby, You should never blow into the pressure switch. You can blow into the pressure switch hose back into the tub to clear any possible lint clogs, but blowing back into the switch can damage it. You see, this switch is sensing the air pressure produced by the weight of the water in the tub. This is not that much pressure. Blowing into the switch can cause damage to the switch and cause it to overflow and flood the house.
