Michael January 20, 2023 for Model Number mvwx500xw1 mvwx500xw1 I am looking for information to replace the water valve and funnel assy. Please send removal and installation information.
1 Answer Michael, with the power cord unplugged, water supply turned off, and the water hoses disconnected from the valves, the back panel of the console would need to be removed. This will allow the valves to be removed from the housing and making the wire switch easier when the new valve housing assembly W11158805 is installed. From this point, the top lid panel would need to be lifted up by removing a wire cover plate and a screw from each corner hinge point. The top panel will then move forward, lift up 1/4", push back and then lift fully up. The dispenser drawer would need to be removed, followed by two screws holding the dispenser trim in place so that the trim can be removed. The housing will rotate slightly down at the front and pull forward. The new one would slide into place and the process for removal would be followed in reverse. Once in place, the wiring from the old valves can be switched to the new valves. Read More...

Ronald C. December 05, 2014 for Model Number WTW5600XW0 On part W10240963 Dispenser Valves, do the white prongs on the hot and cold dispenser valves, which are connected with wires to the control panel, pull off? If they don't, how do you connect the new dispenser valves to the wires? There are two on the cold and one on the hot valves.
1 Answer Ron, Yes you can remove the white plastic wires and covers. It may take a little manipulation and prying with a small flat blade screw driver. But the replacement part W11158805 comes from the manufacturer pre wired and ready to install. Read More...
Bill H. November 16, 2014 My Bravos washer is leaking from top. Appears that dispenser W10240963 Rev K is dripping from the fabric softener end on the rear behind the dispenser compartment. Is it common for this part to crack? How hard is it to replace? I have pulled top off and see two screws holding unit on from bottom. Are there other fasteners around water valve assembly? Just the electric plug? If I order replacement assembly do I need anything else? Thanks
1 Answer Hello Bill, These do fail periodically. Some of these have a press in retention pin on the backside. You will need to raise the main top and in some cases the control panel has to be opened to access screws. These vary from design to design. A model number would get you more specific information since we would then know the specific design in your home. Read More...
